three chapters to this point makes me think that the characterization will be entirely surface-level to put all the focus on the actual fetish at play. Which, more power to those that enjoy it, but I'm a touch surprised the author's not leaning harder into overt NSFW stuff like actual nudity, given the "plot" is basically "nerd beats up bully and sexually abuses her into a relationship".
Unless actual depth gets added to their characters at some point, I don't see this going far on a gimmick based around sexual violence with only implied lewdness and nothing more...feels like the stakes would have to be raised in some capacity to prevent it going stale, and each character is flat-enough that I don't know if banking on an actual narrative being the driving force is wise.
I have a similar impression. We go straight into MC being beat up with no setup and the story continues like that. It's hard for me to invested in what's happening, even though I could imagine the scenes working as part of a larger narrative.
The traits that are more unique are not even taken seriously. We are getting some serial killer level of obsession from Odagiri and team gyaru was laughing it off like some random trait. I assume there will be some minor development where they start liking each other more and the pretense for why they're doing it eventually matters less. That still reads as low on the priority list.
Maybe it's just preference here. However, I've read stories where much less extreme situations felt more impactful, as well as ones where equally extreme situations where treated more seriously by the narrative. The comparison to hentai style stories, where the characters and story don't really matter and which I don't like reading, is apt. If someone wants not-hentai sexual violence gags then they'll like this.
