None of her reasons for not being able to join the swimming club have actually changed so she probably just joined whatever her parents would let her, such as Calligraphy.

In my headcanon, Swim!Girl is also clearly interested in Stalker!Girl or she wouldn't have overlooked the creeping just for a new recruit to the club. She probably continues to hound her about not joining swim class and aggressively flirting for at least 2 anime seasons.

EDIT: checked it again. Definitely an odd place for a window if the building is used as a changing room, but wouldn't be surprised if there was an area further in back where changing was supposed to happen and Sawa is just a weirdo or wanted to be seen
