After six years and almost four volumes, we finally have Harumin and Matsuri in a full chapter, not just half a panel. To get to the point, we finally know Harumin's secret, and how we didn't discover it thanks to Matsuri (I'll reflect on this later). Well, Harumin is going to Kyoto, and most importantly, we learn why. I have to say I completely understand Harumin's desire to distance herself from Yuzu. Since we first met her, she's always lived in Yuzu's shadow, never truly being herself, and it's understandable that she wants to find her own path and discover herself. This is a criticism I've always had of Citrus+: the secondary characters didn't have their own lives. They simply lived in the shadow of Mei or Yuzu to a greater or lesser degree, supporting the main couple. And when their mission was complete, Sabu made them disappear (Sara, Nina, Himeko, Shirapon...). . But in the case of Harumin and Matsuri Given that are the two main supporting characters have so much potential together, it's disappointing, it's disappointing. . They have so much more to offer the story, and this is where I want to make a point: as Harumin rightly says, Matsuri and Harumin are very similar. They're both reserved, they both wouldn't tell the truth even to a his doctor, they both live with a shell that prevents us from seeing their inner selves, they both aren't honest with themselves, and most importantly, they've both lived in Yuzu's shadow. Harumatsu's critics always say they don't have chemistry (maybe so), but what no one can deny is that they understand each other better than anyone else, I'd even say better than Yuzu and Mei. I don't know what Sabu will do with these two, but for me, they're the most interesting characters in Citrus+ right now, and they're being wasted. Well, I suppose the arc will end with Harumin telling Yuzu the truth. The blow will be hard, and we'll see Yuzu devastated, just like Matsuri is in this chapter, even though she doesn't want to be honest with herself. By the way, using Inori to facilitate Harumin and Matsuri's handshake was very symbolic. Time will tell, but if this is just Sabu's umpteenth troll move, it will be disappointing.
