The murder should be a car "accident". Arata hit by a car. The driver not stopped and passes through him. Nobody knows who was the driver including the readers. The assassination failed, Arata will be crippled for a life, put him in a wheelchair and can only drooling every day. No chance for recover.
While Matsuri tries out lollipop dr*gs because just, and getting addicted. She buys from Shirapon's lackeys.

Ideas about Shirapon organized crime:
Shirapon' mother or father is one of the owner of Akamine Academy, and they have different future visions.
Shirapon' mother also wants to buy Aihara Academy.
Mei's grandfather die suddenly but he signed a contract with Shirapon's parents on his dead bed. (Sadly this not works because he "was" on the wedding.)
Mei's grandfather blackmailed by her parents because of her low grades.
Grandfather is also part of the crime ring.
I can give Sabu endless ideas. :)

Story is focusing on nothing... and lead to nowhere... sad.
Harumin as character should deserve better in every way. Would be a better main char also.
Next ep should be about Harumin tells Yuzu, that she loves her. Just to stir up the boring years! ;] After this Harumin move abroad and start a new serie with Her as main . Thnx

Diana and Lapis will fight for your attention and your heart. The Hero will be getting much much jealous as the time flows and her heart will taint because You fall in love with Lapis, Lapis is love you back.
It is you, who will cause Lapis's death, if you don't sacrifice yourself... like at the training.
You will survive the fatal and final blow by Diana. Lapis and Diana will make up for you, and everybody is happy.

So, here's my guess based on the two chapters we have so far.

Lapis's younger sister was killed … by another commoner, and Lapis actually feels guilty for failing to protect her. The whole commoners being uncivilized attitude is something she adopted to deal with her pain, and so that she doesn't have to examine the actual situation too closely. After all, if commoners are ignorant and quick to anger, then something like this was probably unavoidable, nothing she could do.

As to why a commoner would kill her sister. In my experience (having grown up working class in a country where the class divide is still very much alive no matter what people say), enforcing the class divide can come from the bottom as well as the top. Working class people can get very annoyed by other working class people that have ideas and aspirations "above their station", and will starting talking about people getting "too big for their britches". Or I'm thinking to deeply and the killer was motivated by simple jealousy.

She is young, and no father and mother. Doing her family business alone. So possibly her whole family raided by commoner bandits and killed?

I would choose all 3 additions at once...

No hatred, no frustration, just my honest opinion. No need to agree and accept other persons thoughts. Everybody see it from different aspects.

Yuzu should break up with Mei. She just give her more without any reciprocate. My heart is breaks for Yuzu to see her suffering.
Mei had a week to do her f work, forgot her fiancée's birthday and not even try to change or be better for sake of Yuzu. Maybe a little bit... but It feels a truly one sided love.
Mei character is not improved, morover is worse than before, still an emotionally crippled person who would screw with anybody who is pushing her a little bit, like happened with Amemiya sensei. About Yuzu... Yuzu is an intresting toy for her which is recently discovered, do not know what to do with it, where to place it, so... when needed she takes out, when not, put back into the drawer.

This is a suffering... not in the good way...

This serie is so slow, 2-3 months and get a few pages... I lost my excitement for the serie... and I also forgot when was the last genuen kiss between Yuzu and Mei. Not feeling the chemistry between them anymore. Weird but not.

Harumin would be much better lover for Yuzu. She would not hesitate to make Yuzu happy, not a second.

Kurumi care mostly for herself. A call or text to her wife on a day when she does not feel well should be basic... just to make sure she is okay. But she did not think about her on the whole day... that f concert is more important... wtf... i even care more about my best friends and relatives... title should be this: Trying Out Marriage With My Female Friend and it is not working.
