It's more like the recent situation in "Whisper Me a Love Song" but with Lily heavily involved. The story is far more than that though.

I was skeptical of this manga initially especiially since I am not into fantasy. But nowadyas this is one of my favorites. Like it enough to read the LN to find out the ending. I read this chapter in raw when it came out. The language is unusually way above my understanding. I could not understand the dialogue between Manaria and Lily. All I know was the result of the fight. I also understand the sequence of Raeand Clafre's interactions.
Since I know the story, I cannot comment much. The evil Lily character design was well done.

Thank you for the translations. There are still quite a few chapters to go. I hope the manga chapters would come out more often.

Even a one line description of the LN will spoil the potential ending of the originial manga. But then again you can always read the spoiler yourself by reading the LN.

Still quite a bit to go. I don't know what pace the artist will draw but my bet will be we will end at vol.13, To draw 5 more chapters to have a 14th volume will take some planning and intetionally massively slow the pace.. The story is gradually getting close to its climax..

Claire is naive, filled with wrong pride out of guilt.

I read the light novel many years ago, this moment I've been waiting to see illustrated, it's been a whole since I've been into IFTV but I remembered this moment

Man, what a rollercoaster.

Rae is a one woman girl. No changing that. No exceptions or loopholes. No mistresses. This chapter was a nice addition, especially as we lead into the final chapters for the adaptation. A bit of closure for Lily at least, though clearly not the kind she wanted. It's always a bit odd that she's supposed to be Claire's friend as well but makes these decisions anyway. It's treated like something sympathetic but really it's kind of not. I don't have many friends trying to steal my lover. I don't really get treating that behavior like it's cute or so sad for her. Rae also told her no many times in ways any normal person would understand. Now on to the trial.

So her saying she hates her is very delusional to me and I hope she's finally gone from the rest of the story

It's a bit more complicated than leading lilly on. She might've TOLD Lilly that she's only interested in Claire, but Rae also kind of just allowed Lilly to continue to pine after her- and when it was convenient, Rae took advantage of that relationship. Most notably, she did so to get access to the Tears Of The Moon and cure Yuu's curse. I gotta say, I didn't catch how messed up that was until Lilly herself pointed it out in this chapter.

If someone emphatically tells me over and over and over again they only love one person even if I offer to be their side piece mistress and they continue to tell me they only like one person I think I would have quit liking that person on my own I wouldn't have to be told to stop I still think she's just trying to play the victim

If she continued to allow herself to be used for the other person's gain even if that person kept telling them over and over again they could never return their feelings because they only love one person that's kind of on her for continuing to be used it's like she expected her to throw her a bone I mean I agree she should have out right told her to stop liking her but at the same time sometimes you don't need to be told

Again sorry I just never liked lily as a character I thought she was annoying the second she was introduced and the fact that she fell in love with her so quickly and continued to stay in love with her when Rae never even looked her way and continue to just be that annoying person that got in the way of our main couple over and over again so they couldn't even have a alone time that's kind of the worst character to me in all of manga and I hate when they introduce those kind of love triangle-esque characters for no reason other than to put a wedge between the main characters or cause jealousy that doesn't need to be there

I will say I did enjoy jealous Claire when she would randomly blurt out about not taking Rae or her belonging to her but either way Lily overstayed her welcome far too long and now it looks like Lily caught the eye of the creepy cousin who in the novel raped someone that they kind of just played off in the manga that does make me feel bad for Lily.

She's definitely a case of both victim and perpetrator. I do like that she ends up on friendlier term with Alter in the manga, compared to the novel (yes, the last chapter's cliffhanger has broken me so bad that I went ahead and read the original just to know what happens). Is anyone else reminded of Shiki and SHIKI from Kara no Kyoukai?

I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter. On the one hand, it had some good character interactions and developments and this conversation probably needed to happen at some point. On the other, it's placement feels odd. Wasn't this supposed to be part of some plan to help Claire or convince her not to go down with her father? Because it doesn't feel like it relates to that goal at all and they seem to be operating under enough of a time crunch that dragging Lilly around and arranging all of this just to clear the air seems counterproductive.

Just a few chapters ago, Lilly called Manaria "the shitty woman who laid her hands on her help" and Manaria basically acknowledged the statement as accurate. While she didn't explicitly say it was rape, there aren't many other ways to interpret the statement and the alternatives aren't much better, so I'm a bit curious about what their relationship was in the books.
