My wish is that god also turns Mori into a girl, then because he is a girl becomes attracted to girls. Then Mori and Ayumu become a happy yuri couple :DD

This.

So much more satisfying.

I though something similar but then... wouldn't all the struggle be pointless? I can hardly see that since Mori would still like guys... if he can't accept Ayumu as a girl now that he is a boy... why would that change once she is a girl? unless the whole purpose is 'being gay' and not 'liking guys' I feel you bros... but ;v; (what I can see is God being a troll and once Mori finally decides he loves Ayumu as a girl, turning him into a girl... and then you have your win C: unless Ayumu liked him as a guy... and now we have the struggle all over again :/)

Wow ok "I asked him to have sex despite him knowing I'm with you, he said no and said I should sort this out, that doesn't please my woman's heart" what the actual ayumu

I really hope this doesn't become a "love overcomes gender" thing, that would really wind me up. He's gay but whoops lets just make him straight for his new girlfriend!!

I feel sad for Mori, really.

He had a boyfriend, whom he was very much in love with and who loved him back, which is not something easy to find, even for straight people and then, by some act of a stupid shrine god, he loses his boyfriend with no hope of ever getting him back, that boyfriend proves to be fickle and says he's gonna fall in love with the first guy who tells him he loves him as a girl and attempts to cheat on him and when the other guy don't want to betray his friend, s/he's not pleased? And when he says he still loves you, you call him a liar, even though you asked him to say it?

WTF Ayumu, I'm disappointed. Mori really got the short end of the stick for absolutely no reason. It was not even his wish.

Only 8 chapters and an epilogue, according to this

So this torture isn't going to be too long I hope. But still, I can almost predict a bad ending

Fucking stupid god.

I don't know what to feel about this one. I was thinking that maybe this is a test from the gods for them to see if they love each other enough to overcome lots of hurdles together, and if they pass the test, Ayumu will be turned back into a guy. But if Mori can love Ayumu as a girl, it's like saying that gay guys can fall in love with a girl and become straight, even if Ayumu is turned into a guy again in the end. I'm conflicted.

Some lesson here, if you're gay and in a relationship, don't go praying at a shrine asking for your relationship to last forever. You'll have a bad time.

After cooling my head, I think that maybe it's Ayumu's way to show his love for Mori by making the break-up easier for him.

Maybe.

Woah, Mori what are you doing. The whole world treats Ayumu like a girl now, and what does the one guy do that knows he's a guy inside? Treat him like a girl too. Even reading those stupid magazines. Of course, that's the standard genderbend reaction, but still.
No wonder Ayumu starts to crack. Seems like he's in a just screw it all mood now. What he's doing still seems like a really bad idea, but it's kinda understandable.
Mori "lost" his lovers body.
Ayumu lost a whole life and he doesn't know what his girl-self did instead, because he only has memorys of his old life.

Feels to me like the question is if Mori can keep loving the guy inside, even if he doesn't like to look at Ayumus body anymore.

I'm really curious what kind of morale we will get at the end.

I'm so angry with that manga. I could understand anyone else, but Mori? He is the only person who remembers that Ayumu is a guy and while his first slip of treating him as a girl might be unconscious, why the hell he is reading freaking guides how to apologize to girls? What in the world could make him think it is a good idea, after being scolded for, well, treating him as a girl...? I guess looks and psychical gender just matters that much >.>

This manga could tackle so many issues, but nope. Let's just go with standard "we can't be together anymore, so I'll give him the reason to break up with me". Loves overcomes nothing. I agree with Nya-chan. If it isn't the reason why Ayumu did all that, then I got no idea what he is thinking.

I honestly feel like dropping it right now.

Martian

But if Mori can love Ayumu as a girl, it's like saying that gay guys can fall in love with a girl and become straight, even if Ayumu is turned into a guy again in the end.

It isn't becoming straight. I can't tell from experience, but I believe in love that overcomes everything. Like straight person can fall in love with someone the same sex, but still be straight and the same way gay person can fall in love with person of the opposite sex, while still remaining gay. It is probably rare and usually doesn't work out, but sometimes love is just incomprehensible. So I hoped for tackling that kind of development. Ayumu is Ayumu and I still love him. Or hell, he has the girl's body now, but I will still treat him like a guy. Instead Mori is so close-minded and switches to treat Ayumu like a girl immediately, that it's painful to read. Seriously, way to waste all that good potential and make me regret trying reading this manga after all.

Some lesson here, if you're gay and in a relationship, don't go praying at a shrine asking for your relationship to last forever. You'll have a bad time.

Good thing, god doesn't exist in our world.

Ugh, all this conflict just because they can't get over the specific shape of their genitals.

more like the specific shape of the WHOLE body! sexual traits dinstict between gender.

gender don't matter in love = Pansexual.

One of the things that makes this whole mess really uncomfortable is how you can extend it to the experience of a trans person coming out and transitioning when they're already in a relationship. After all, they're changing physically in much the same way. But it's a seriously messed up similarity. I can't tell if the author came up with a fucked-up situation that's coincidentally similar, at least in a superficial way, to real-world issues, or if they're actually trying to address those issues and doing it in a completely fucked-up way. Because let's face it, Ayumu's experience doesn't map well onto a trans person's experience, nor does Mori's to the spouse or boyfriend of one.

I could see this being interesting in the sense of "I love you as a person, but I can't handle what you've been turned into" but not having the concepts to communicate that. But I don't know if this is going to be that story.

Yeah, it's really an uncomfortable story. You feel sorry for the characters, because it's like they've been cursed for no reason other than being gay?

If it was Loki who had done that, maybe I would have understood that it was just to mess up with them, because he's a trickster god.

But here, two people are hurt for no reason at all.

It makes me angry.

Regarding the god who did all this, I suspect rather than a trickster god or malicious god or even a homophobic god, I think rather it was an incompetent god, whose sort appears in manga a lot. Gods in manga are usually very human, and often disconnected from how humans think. Like the aliens from Kashamishi, he probably thought "well, this'll do it" and it never occurs to him there might be just a few problems with his approach.

Stupid Masuda, if you had told Ayumu you loved her, she would have end up falling for you, and good ending to the story.

But no, you had to be a nice guy...and you were already in the hotel too wtf, sometimes being the nice guy is the wrong choice.
