When I first saw the characters, I thought they were the ones from Hollyhock for a moment

Nice to see Yodokawa's new work on here, to my knowledge the chapter is super recent so this translation was fast. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes, thanks for the translation!

Interesting, especially considering the notes on the credits page. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Yodokawa maybe the first artist whose work you can try to guess by the title even before checking out the art

Interested to see where this goes. I hope the teen winds up getting over her crush on the teacher and gets with someone her age.

Maybe Student x Teacher?

My sense is that the focus will be on Hase mentoring Nekome, with Hase getting new perspectives on her relationship with Morio and Nekome maturing and gaining control over her own life. Right now I'm guessing that Nekome will not end up with Shiratori.

Hooray! Excited to see this get picked up for translation so quickly. I adore Yodokawa's other work, and I'm excited to see where this one goes.

This is pretty much my read on the series so far as well. From seeing some of Yodokawa's posts on social media, I get the impression this will mainly be a comedy drama series, without much in the way of the typical romance story beats.

Woah new series!? I'm strapped in and ready for what this one brings!

Also a couple small errors I noticed: pg. 13 "Kase" instead of Hase, and "Shiratori-sensei" instead of "Ms. Shiratori

Which if you don't mind me asking, what was the reasoning behind using English honorifics instead of Japanese, and having the name order be "First name Last name"? I'm not opposed, merely curious is all ^-^

Thanks for the translation!!

Hard to tell where this will be going by the first chapter alone, but I trust the author to give us something good again.

Not even sure there'll be any actual romance. We had to wait the very last chapter of Maitsuki for a kiss.

Yodokawa's yuri is always very subtexty.

There’s sort of a difference between subtext and explicitness! Maitsuki was “we’re dating now and sleeping in the same bed and introducing each other as girlfriends to the parents”, but we as the readers just don’t see the more intimate moments.

The trouble arises when what is implied like this isn’t clear to the readers and the exclusion of the reader view of critical moments feels deliberately jarring for understanding the relationship (thinks about final books of Room for Two and throws shit across the room angrily).

It doesn't have to take the form a kiss to have romance. There were plenty of it in Maitsuki, the story was mostly about it. Just because Yodokawa is discreet in showing display of affection, doesn't mean there isn't an actual romance going on.

As for the new title, not sure what to think about it yet. I'll follow along to see where it goes!

Because it's too early to tell what'll happen.

What will happen? Vote now on your phones:

A: Her wandering friend is the love interest
B: Her student is the love interest
C: The cool beauty part time teacher is the love interest
D: The cute glasses wearing teacher is the love interest
E: There is no love interest. Everything will be subtext and the manga will be highly divisive because of it.

A, I think.

Looks good so far.

Re-reading it, I really like the composition on page 2 with the portraits looking at both MC, but it's not reciprocated. My guess is that it displays the unrequited love of Morio for Hase, and Nekome for Shiratori. Not sure how it will evolves, though.

Based on how she was acting and the title of the story, I'm pretty sure the answer is A. I think the idea here is that there are two main romances that the story is going to focus on. The student's crush on the part time teacher, and the teacher's hopefully mutual love with her traveling friend.

I am not sure if the former will end up successful or if the answer will be sometimes you have to let go of your first love and move on, but I am very hopeful that the second will be successful. If, you know, they're not just outright already dating.

Cause seriously they have a room together in their apartment and the traveling friend is constantly sending her momentos, even just cool rocks she finds, and the teacher is looking at event he cool rocks with adoring expression because it's from her. This feels like 'already a couple' kind of things
