Loved the art for this one. It was interesting and I liked the ending. Also appreciated Ami's showing evident and lasting remorse outside of Rei's purview. 3 months is a long time--her change meant something. They're both cute 10 years later. I wouldn't have minded a continuation but the author wanted a single-volume short story and there wasn't anything else to cover anyway.

really glad I waited until this ended to read it, I would have found this infuriating one chapter at a time, especially given the disconnect between the tags and the tone.

Unfortunately feels very rushed in the end.

10 years is a lot for Ami to make it up to Rei on how she treated her, was nice to see them as adults but too bad there wasn't anymore on how the time passed.

I know where the sentiment comes from, but not all short series or those that end "abruptly" (according to readers) were or are axed, some authors just want to make their story short and concise
I liked this one, especially the art style!

I didn't expect a wholesome ending, but I'm happy with it. I'll look forward to the next yuri manga from this author.

Near the start I was like “mehhh” then the middle and especially that ending I was like “I actually like this ending”

The only thing that sucks (and why I initially felt “meh” about this chapter) was cuz we didn’t really get to see Ami’s thoughts or hear her reflect— tho I guess her crying and saying “I really like you” is proof enough that she’s changed (still would’ve loved an Ami POV for the first half tho)

So was Ami dropping out a lie to get Rei to go back?

Also are there any extras? Would love to see more of their grown up selves and their dynamic

It seems she did drop out. Rei says she can't solve Ami's current family situation but urges Ami to wait for her. The idea seems to be that they remained together and in contact--possibly long distance for a bit--until eventually they could be make their own decisions as independent adults. That alone could be a series but would probably extend beyond what this series wanted to focus on.

Kinda disappointing to see the ending being so rushed...
But at least it ended well and they do seem like a very lovely couple now.
Thanks for the translation!

what? she was cheating tho? she is FAR from anything a poly person should be? way in hell do people think CHEATERS are for the poly relationship when they lack the most fundamental pillar in a poly relationship? Trust? do you think poly relationship is made of scum that cheats on their lovers?

sorry but this way the story ended might make people feel unsatisfied by the abrupt ending and the whole 10 chapters spend on the relationship for the main issue of the story to be fixed in 1 chapter is not a “short and concise story” it’s far from it an i really do not like it, despite a “happy ending”

Funny how people react with hate whenever a character is cheating (whatever their reason might be).

It's like they're being the ones cheated on. Talk about being insecure.

Anyway, i liked this one.

What people probably failed to notice and the teacher pointed out is that when Ami invited Rei to the amusement park, three months prior, she was already in the process of breaking things off with all the other girls she was having a relationship with. The phone call was because she had contacted a girl, probably to break up and Rei mistook it as Ami two-timing.

The final trigger was probably Rei coming at her place when she was sick and Ami realized that Rei was there for her. So she decided to turn a new leaf. Unfortunately, communication failed.

Also, Ami is dropping out of school probably because her mother can't pay for it. She's basically abandoned. But people here are like "yeah, serves her right."

Thankfully, Rei isn't as heartless as you lot.

I think if we saw some of those 3 months where Ami was being ignored and getting the cold shoulder from Rei it would make this a bit more satisfying. Since we're just told it happened, we don't get the uh... "Satisfaction" of seeing that kind of "justice"(?) happen to her. But we're just told that it happened due to time (space?) limit and it can feel unsatisfying in that regard.

But I think it's told its story well. Ami has few moments when she starts realizing things and she has real issues expressing herself which outside of her "shitty" behavior is the other issue that leads to that breakup moment at the amusement park. Again, if we saw more of those 3 months it would be way better.

I liked this. I would've maybe liked a little more between "Wait for me" and the timeskip, possibly a reunion or something idfk. Maybe delving a bit more into Ami grappling with how she's been behaving and how she recovered from that. Picturing an arc where Ami's stresses pile up and she slips back to her carefree depression and makes mistakes again but that's just because I'm a bastard. But overall I thought it was good.

She could accept her be poly

The issue wasn't just that she was seeing other women, it was that she didn't care. She couldn't care. Once she sorted out her feelings it seems that what she settled on was that Rei really is the only one she cares about, so no real need for polyamory.

i dont entirely love how easily she was forgiven for the cheating

She broke up with her in public and completely snubbed her for 3 months. What are you even talking about?

I'm amazed this series reached a happy ending
My only problem is that it was so short, they wrapped things up and mended their relationship in the span of a few pages, which is probably unavoidable because it got axed or something.

If you read my comment I’m talking about how people assume that any short series was axed instead of thinking that it is a deliberate decision of the author
I see your other comments and I get that you don’t like the manga but thats not my problem

Why are people insisting it was axed? Do you have reading comprehension problems?

It's been repeated here several times that IT'S A STANDALONE VOLUME that was published as is.

So no, there was no ax, the author told the story they wanted to, in the constraints of one volume. That's all.

The "I didn't like the ending, so it must have been axed," has become pretty common. Rarely is there evidence before the assumption. I like the idea of releasing a full story as a single volume though (graphic novel style). I wonder why they went that route with this one. Does anyone know if that's relatively common and maybe I've just not been paying attention?

Agreed. I would've appreciated just two more chapters to let things breathe.
1 chapter for the "cold war" so we could feel Ami's remorse as she struggles through being ignored by Rei.
1 chapter that highlights them navigating the period before the time skip. Of course, this could be expanded to multiple chapters, but it'd be nice to get a chapter's worth of insight into what kind of effort they put into making their future together become reality.

Right, axed or not to me is irrelevant—this story just seemed to be structurally unbalanced, with too much telling rather than showing of the key character developments at the end.

That would have been a nice addition. I don't think it would need multiple chapters but I agree with that.

As loathe as I am to admit, I'm happy they ended up together. I shall give credit where credit is due, Ami didn't stay a she-witch and actually did change. Kudos.
