So yeah, it's just this chapter for now with no real explanation from Tatsubon other than "if this is well-received, I'll draw more of it", so no idea if it's a sequel or a spin-off or even the same universe as of yet.

I thought that arc was fine, but the author didn't really build any plotlines extending past it.

To be fair though, that's one of the many ways to end a romance story. Some end at a confession (the worst!), some end at a kiss, and some end at high school graduation. I'm always an advocate of "the more, the better" but ending on sex is at least better than most of the alternatives.

Also, just a guess, but knowing rich people tropes in Japanese stories, I wonder if Sakurako had to go study overseas or something.

I thought it's just a bunch of bad porn stuck at the end of a teasy series with a fun, although simple story. I was mostly waiting for it to be over until the author does something interesting again, which is... possibly until now I suppose. Maybe making it a separate thing is just so more people pay attention.

honestly, rather than being dropped after that arc, for me it felt more like the sex arc was tacked on as a sort of bonus at the end of tadakoro-san, like i thought the story was basically done by that point anyway. which isn't to say i'd don't see any potential in a sequel/spinoff, i am interested to see where a new series goes

Still not sure what's happening, but I see no reason to think there will be NTR in this. Also, Kageko looks even cuter than before, if that's possible.

I'm glad to see there's more content coming from Tadokoro (even with the lack of Sakurako). Hopefully this chapter was well received and Tatsubon-sensei keeps the series going.

Ok, so. These are all the conclusions I'm jumpting to based on this 4-page long chapter:

Sakurako and Kageko broke up or at least haven't talked to each other in a long time.
MC will develop a crush on Kageko (or in Kageko's mom).
Manga is about her fixing Sakurako and Kageko's relationship while dealing with her unrequited feelings.
There may be a threesome at some point between MC, Sakurako and Kageko, or MC ends up with Kageko's mom.

So like it's a four page first chapter from the perspective of the newly introduced MC, I really don't think we have to fear for a breakup when it's far more likely Sakurako has just yet to walk into frame.

You guys really need to stop doom posting. for one Tatsubon already said that they were going to stop Tadokoro to work on other projects so I'm not sure why you guys are acting surprised and second they already indicated that they didn't break up and that Sakurako was working or something similar. I swear you guys love angst so much you create your own reality where only the worse happens

Perhaps it's an AU where Kageko and Sakurako never met?
Maybe Sakurako became a corporate tycoon too busy with work?
Maybe the new MC is the main character with Kageko serving as a mentor? (The title would suggest otherwise)

I'm inching toward the former as (even in one chapter) Kageko doesn't show the character development she did in the latter portion of the previous series.

Based on the hairpin Kageko and Sakurako are still together. So I'm assuming Since it seems to be around mid-day early morning Sakurako is either at work or a business trip. Considered me interested in seeing the current dynamic of their relationship

The obvious explanation is that all of the pent up sexual desires Sakurako had caused her to literally explode after she and Kageko had sex, tragically leaving Kageko widowed.

Or the two have just been busy and haven't gotten to meet up in a while. That's a pretty common occurrence in manga.
