Sorry for the wait. Too many things in life going on in the past few months ... work, getting sick, burned out, etc.

Anyway, we're back.

We're so, so back.

  • New chapter in Japanese coming out TOMORROW (August 1st).

https://x.com/kimishinu/status/1816341177253388572

  • We got 2 collaboration commercials during the airing of Whisper You A Love Song.

If you haven't watch them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYmYUCDuoKA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxtyTskg4Bs

I guess we were the only franchise without anime that has commercials during this airing period.

  • We got a BIG ADVERTISEMENT in JR Akihabara Station in Tokyo.

https://x.com/kimishinu/status/1818119637558857804

It's only there for one week, but if you happen to visit Tokyo be sure to check it out!

The series's 6 years anniversary is also on August 18th.
Is something big coming? We don't know.
Let's find out together next month!

Until next time! (It won't be 2 months this time, I promise.)

Thanks so much for the update and your hard work!

Lastly, it's a question. I noticed that sometimes Mimi will refer to herself as "I" or "me", I'm just wondering if that's accurate to the original script? Most of the time it's getting translated as her using her own name, so it throws me off and makes me curious when she doesn't.

Mimi talks in 3rd person. She calls herself MImi.

I think we aren't being super consistent about this, so I'll make sure to point it out during typeset and QC.

Whoa, I didn't notice until now when I read this comment. When I saw Bashame in Shikanoko calling herself Bashame (not calling herself "I" or "watasshi"), I asked on the Facebook group if there were any series where the female main character called herself in the third person like that, didn't realize Mimi in this manga also addressed her like that

It's not uncommon. Sometimes childish or airhead characters do that.

The thing that only couples do is....... marriage. Ah yes I definitely wasn't thinking about anything else.
I want Ali and Esta to get together. It would make a nice story I think.

Yeah, I know that. But I mean that type of character is the main character, not the type of friend or annoying rival of the main character.

I think Esta already has her new roommate, who has shown that she cares about her quite a bit. But with Esta walking around the battlefield with a bunch of death-flags on her head like this ......

So far, this manga has no yuri bait, right? I'm asking this because I had a flashback about an anime called ‘Hibike Euphonium’. So far, there are also no male characters, right?

dunno what's bait for you, but this is 100% confirmed explicitly yuri.

Besides what others already said about this being yuri or bait, there is a male character, Haru-kun, though that doesn't make this story any less yuri.

Cries.

Please think about how you'll survive in the present instead.

Yep, there are males characters in this story, but the gender identity of Haru is actually quite unknown. Their name is actually shorten from Halfred (ref: https://x.com/aooont/status/1836771336254791903), which is a boy name originated from Danish.

However, I'm really leaning toward them being a boyish girl, as in chapter 26 (ref: https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/my_wish_is_to_fall_in_love_until_you_die_ch26#7) they were lining up for health check with other girls. It's pretty common for school health check to split students up based on sex.

Haru refers to themselves using "boku", which is the reason why everyone using "-kun" suffix to call them. For the name, I think they wanted to be identified as Haru/Halfred (as they are orphans, and those names may not be the name they were given at birth) so that's why we're going with.

Given Aono Nachi-sensei is the supporter of all types of love and LGBTQ+, I believe that this school's setting is the one where you can either wear pants or skirt based on your preference. Haru decided that they want to wear something masculine, so that's why they always wear pants.

Maybe once we hear their voice ... then things will be more clear.

Haru is not a trans boy. It's a girl.
