I liked the story just fine, but also like I can't believe I keep losing chess to the Age Gap dog. Everytime I just think to myself "oh boy a story with some older women yipee" and then instead I get a woman younger than me and a kid.... This is why Water, Coloured is one of my favorite yuri lmao.

Also, tags can be added later, it has happened countless of times on the site. As I said the idea died early, and I thought it was funny that I had even thought that might be a possibility considering that the name of the anthology is right there so I shared it.

I'll also say that while I think she should move on and find new love and happiness in life, that maybe they will meet again one day and find happiness together. The ending is generally bitter sweet but at least there's a possibility of an eventual happy ending, and as someone that enjoys happy endings I'll take solace in that.

as frustrating as the ending was, ig that's just life. you just never meet people again even if there are promises to reunite.

I really liked this one. The ending leaving it ambiguous whether or not they'll ever meet again gives it an even greater impact imo.

I actually quite like the protagonist's character arc. She says she has never grew up (as a fellow millennial, I felt that deep in my bones), but when push came to shove, she handled it absolutely responsibly and gradually took her promises more seriously, including the most important one. Even if they don't end up dating, she really has nothing to regret in this case.
