Just yesterday I saw a meltdown on reddit because some people got ragebaited into thinking the author of Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk was saving noncon het fanarts of their own characters. For some reason that false claim was enough for these people to wish death upon the author and call them all kinds of names.
Sometimes I hate the yuri fandom.
I mean, it is true, you can go to their pixiv (2473929) and see for yourself.
That's.. disappointing isn't the right word, but it certainly lowers my opinion of him.
Tbh, that’s probably the least parasocial behavior I’ve seen around an anime airing this spring season. There’s no justification for so-called fans sending death threats to the author that's just low as hell. I saw on Twitter and Instagram that the author of Go For It, Nakamura! was harassed so badly they ended up deleting their account. Apparently, some viewers/readers were upset about the second male lead having a small crush on his teacher, and there were also accusations about the author’s interests being a shotacon. Before leaving, the author posted a note saying something along the lines of, “I can’t make everyone happy,” and hinted at stepping away from being a mangaka.
It's the author's story. Sensei has the right to write how the leads are feeling.
I wish they could insist what they think of about the story, because they create these characters.
I want to see their stories, not trying to get pleased by trying to make their stories mine..
Cause if I wanted to make it mine, I can always write it myself, or imagine it...v.v
Sorry to hear about what sensei has to go through.
I wish that sensei can still be very adamant about their works.
