That's a 100% concentrate oof juice the girl was poured on, goddamn. I also feel bad for the tongue-pierced girl, whose name we don't even know, like anoter commenter mentions. I feel like it's on purpose, though. I wouldn't be surprised if, from that point, Ren heads back to the store to see that girl, like that was in a way meant to be the bridge between them.
Generally speaking, I feel like Sui represents an ideal, and the tongue-pierced girl represents either real life or "what could have been" type thing, and the narrative is about Ren navigating (and I guess developing with) her, uh, newfound feelings and experiences, I guess, between an ideal and real life. This is some real incoherent, tired rambling, but all that is to say that I'm wondering to see what happens next.
...sincere... mc is abything but that to people ...
I mean, yeah, that's by and large the crux of her character and the place from which she will grow as one. It's only now in her life that she's discovered actual pleasure from intimacy, love, or even wanting or welcoming the closeness of another person, and her previous worldview, which was a whole lot of negativity specifically with those concepts, is completely being changed.
So everyone likes someone who doesn't like them back? (thousand yard stare)
Just wait, Sui's crush will turn out to be bi too and end up having a thing for the girl Reina hooked up with. The cover image will be zoomed out in an update and turn out to have been an oroboros of yearning
This sounds too perfect not to be the case, or too specific to be a wild guess. Either way, it'll be incredible.
