Whilst Kanata's "I feel no ulterior motives" might be subjective, I don't think so either. Kanata is clearly someone who wants to stay out of (relationship) trouble, and she's socially competent enough to know that you can't just ... "dine and dash" on your roommate without having to deal with the aftermath.

Yui has all the benefits of a situationship with Kanata, without having to deal with the situation part because Kanata is "straight" to her, is what i'm willing to bet

I think it gives the story verisimilitude, as in a person in real life might wonder if either of them falls on the aspec spectrum, and at least they would say they don't.

I think Yui is jumping at a chance to hug Kanata, but she is being very careful to avoid it feeling like an "ulterior motives" hug. Kanata has said she's straight, and (Yui has to assume) Kanata might leave the apartment entirely if her roommate was trying to make moves on her.

Omg they're both sooooooo toxic. I'm enjoying it, but damn, this is some crazy shit. Neither is doing any explicitly bad things, but their attitudes are some of the absolute worst I've read.

Okay first off TURN HIM DOWN FFS. Second clearly she went out because she's upset and jealous you went out on a date, and then you got jealous of the photo.

Also consent please. I know you're drunk but you don't just shove your tongue into someone else's mouth she deserved the slap. However the "disgusting" would have probably made me never talk to her again tbh.

Also I assume the smell she smelled was some rando girls perfume that's what snapped her out of it?

This doesn't surprise me tbh Kanata is the type that can't turn people down and I've always found people like this pretty toxic because they string people along even if they don't mean to nor do they actually care about anyone's actual feelings.

Was thinking the exact same thing. I’m not sure whether a single light novel chapter has more or less content than one manga chapter, or if each manga chapter adapts one light novel chapter, but either way, this is probably going to be a long~~~ one.

Chapter 9 out of 118 implies its about 2 to 3 web novel chapters per manga chapter, so it should be somewhere in the 30 to 50 manga chapter range, which is not that long. Though if they're monthly chapters yeah that will take a while.
