This is a really refreshing read, I really like both MCs and the humor is spot on for me.

Can I dare to hope this manga gets a long run time?

I dunno about that. This chapter is pivotal because it demonstrates Shouko's own growing awareness of Yukari (this is the second chapter in a row she's asked Yukari about her love life). Yukari is a self abnegating INFP: very empathetic towards others, but also very timid and pessimistic, and prone to be hypercritical of herself. But in this chapter we see her giving Shouko a decisive nudge from brooding over her unrequited love, and its a short narrative distance between this point and blooming attraction between the two protagonists. This author seems little interested in padding out the story with cliched melodrama, so it isn't likely to be a long manga.

She did it! She did the thing! She said the title of the manga she's in!

I appreciate how the story doesn't get dragged out by having Yukari do "stupid stuff" that will only hinder their relationship because of her social awkwardness. And since the story doesn't seem to be going the comedic route, I doubt she'll be doing any "stupid stuff" in future chapters. Although I'd love to see this have a long run time, if it continues at this pace I'd be very happy as well. Maybe we'll get to see them be more lovey-dovey this way.

Yukari concluded that she fancies Shouko so quickly that it makes me wonder if she already knows she likes girls. I didn't think too much of it in chapter 1, but she hasn't second-guessed herself about this since then. She's the type of person who thinks a lot about how she fits into society, so it would be a bit odd if she came to this conclusion so easily if she hadn't already thought a lot about this topic before. And this story is not set in a de-facto 'homo-normative' world (like SasaKoi is); Yukari herself assumes Shouko must have feelings for the same boy as Tenri, and she has not entertained the idea that Shouko could be in love with Tenri.

I could see Yukari giving fruitier recommendations in the future (Hanamonogatari, maybe?), which gets Shouko comfortable enough to reveal that she likes girls and that it's Tenri the one she's heartbroken about, not the boy.

I can see no other explanation than that she already knew, yeah; she certainly doesn't behave like Shouko is her first crush. For that matter, her realizing she's a lesbian might be one reason she became a loner (as we can see from this chapter she used to have friends).

I mean, Tenri and Shouko are literally cousins so... That's probably not an option that would come to most people's minds

From an American perspective certainly, it's not as big a deal in other places like Japan or Germany though. So not necessarily that out there of an idea

Big mood, girl, big mood.

Also, intense extroverts are terrifying.

I think it's more than she assumes everyone, including Shouko, is straight by default.

Even if this isn’t a ‘homo-normative’ world, is still common for this to happen in yuri, and by "this" I mean being attracted to a girl without having the whole “Am I a Lesbian?” or all that panic even if it's the first time and even if it isn't a ‘homo-normative’ narrative

Yes, it's common for girls in yuri to be attracted to their love interest without the same-sex nature of their relationship being a topic, and I did not say otherwise. What I'm talking about is more complicated, though of course it could be just an accidental pattern.

About "homo-normative": this probably made it more confusing, so that's on me. I brought up SasaKoi because that series is set in a co-ed school, male family members exist, and one of the girls used to have a boyfriend, but even though virtually every girl is involved in a yuri pairing and a few of them have at least one previous same-sex crush, the topic of same-sex attraction is avoided completely. So I meant to bring up SasaKoi as a counter-example to this series, where such a contradiction between setting and character behavior hasn't yet crystallized, to explain why I feel more compelled to speculate that Yukari 'liking girls' will become a topic in this series.

I'll try to explain it better now. Yukari is a very introspective person. The literature she references are also all real books and real authors (including some men too). At this point we also see no other obvious yuri side couples or gay girls in Shouko's friend group, and as far as Yukari knows, Shouko has her eyes on a boy. And yet, Yukari recognizes her attraction to Shouko as what it is very quickly after they first hang out.

So, Yukari is a bookish girl who thinks too much, and a loner in a fairly heteronormative environment. But as soon as she gets to spend some time alone with Shouko, she immediately recognizes Shouko as someone she could fall in love with if they keep hanging out. What I find odd is not that Yukari doesn't have any "am I gay" thoughts, but that she does not need to think very long to distinguish her attraction from feelings of friendship. "Am I an LGBTQ+ person" is a less common topic in yuri, but it's fairly standard for girls in yuri to go through an "I just like her as a friend" phase before realizing what they feel is romantic love.
