That's the type of pedantry I like to see lol

Much praise has been given to this chapter for "dodging drama" and "communication" but I believe this series has earned more specific praise than that. Though it's hard to put into words (if it were easy, there would not be much point to the art), I want to at least say that this chapter wasn't just wholesome but also raw and vulnerable in a way that really got to me.

I also absolutely love the cinematic feeling that is made possible by the confident writing that even here omits narration entirely. Narration and internal monologue can be very important and impactful but Suika Amazaki was completely correct to go without it in this case.

But in all seriousness, I really enjoyed this series. Manatsu was an absolute delight as a protagonist, with all her silly expressions making me laugh constantly throughout. I can't wait to see whatever Amazaki Suika does next.

I wouldn't rank it the best chapter out of the bunch, but it left off with the same good feeling the series was riding throughout. This is the mangaka's first time ending what was her longest series as well.

Hopefully there will be some extras with the eventual tankobon release. Like 28 Days Later I'm going to need a 28 Weeks Later. They can't drop that Papa lore without a follow up meet the family.

The mangaka said on her twitter recently that her next project is underway and it's also a yuri. So at least there won't be along wait for more from her.
