At first I thought If it weren’t for the title, this was some side characters from Girls x Vampire. The art style is so similar, even though Minori Chigusa’s other works usually look quite different.

This is giving me hope that if I keep being a good girl, a pretty and totally unattached OL is bound to show up at my doorstep at some point and decide to live with me and make my life more fun. Except, you know, I'm actually the rapidly approaching middle age overworked OL in real life :P

I seriously doubt that Chigusa can handle one more series when her hands are full at the moment with three manga and a bunch of illustration jobs.

Well needing consistent income comes first unfortunately and manga series don't pay that much.

I've only been following her for two years, so I don't know much about her earlier work. But maybe she started with het pairings because they were more popular than yuri at the time and had more engagement going for her, (though I'm not really sure when it comes to het pairings). It seems like she later shifted to illustrating yuri, which might have been what she truly wanted to do from the beginning. I'm not certain, but it's interesting how she transitioned from doing mostly het pairings to consistently making yuri focused work. :)

Well, mom is barely in the picture. Dunno if it's "sick, in the hospital" or "working at distance" or "dead, to be visited in a cemetery.

It seems a bit weird to me they completely ignored the fact she was bleeding after she woke up. Since this is pretty lighthearted, I guess she got blackout drunk and hit her head or something, and it clearly wasn’t that serious, but still… maybe that’ll get fleshed out more if this gets a continuation.

This isn’t even romance, not even a hint of it, just a good person saving someone and they become friends. I could see a foundation for romance here but…..this is all it is lol

It's the (hopeful) start of something. It has a call to action in the past page. It wasn't meant to be a full story. It's basically pitch. For what it is, it's really fun. I'd love to see more of it.
