Well, that was a fun couple of opposites. :D
wait, I just reread the latest chapter and the canon is that there is no man?? dream world fr.
Only one marriage? They could just join all for of them into single matrimony so no pair loses...

Yup, it's confirmed now.
Holy magic/Holy healing magic cannot be cast on yourself!??? As a saint...That sounds like a fatal power flaw lol 0_0....If I was a saint then I would have found about that really quick since I would want to test out my healing power by stabbing my hand before trying healing it in which case I would be panicking like a idiot then making sure to bring like dozen of healing potions just in case afterwards.
Good thing MC and the princess help made a lot of powerful healing potions. Though since there are 2 saint instead of just 1 saint, they can holy heal each other in battle I guess.
We know they have the option to return back to their world if they 'choose' (Assuming wizard girl was not lying about there being a return spell/method and not lying about needing to get rid of the evil miasma before allowed to.)
The 2nd princess (So-called cold Tsundere/Eldora)...Eh...I seen much harsher, rude and annoying princess...Yep she sure is bossy though but I get the feeling like she feel compelled to focus on becoming the heir due to 1st princess (Luliam) condition of exploding magic and not being able use magic. Doing it mainly due to her older sister' sake though...Eh debatable...I say doing it for her older sister's sake might be 15-20% the reason and feeling duty bond responsibility is the rest of it is my guess? Though I do wish Eldora/2nd princess learns about Consent or atleast the ability to 'RIZZ' her future waifu up better....Girl at least take her out for an fancy restaurant dinner first before marriage lol XD
Eldora was worried about Daichi/highschool girl when she was injury and almost passing out...So assuming Eldora/2nd princess concern was 'Real' then it possible Eldora might develop romantic feelings...Highschool girl was feeling a bit flustered about the concern shown though~
Both pairs of princess and saints are putting in lots of effort in saving people (High-school girl/Daichi got injury during battle) during the race for the throne.
One super special marriage fruit for princess and saintess/saint marriage per 5 years spawn rate???....Who is going to bet that there is going to be like 2 fruits that spawn instead of just 1 fruit lol? XD
I find it funny that Daichi/highschool girl was not protesting about marrying another girl anymore (I don't think she even protest the idea at all, just being feisty and angry about the saintess auto non-consent part of marrying the princess in chapter 1 until she heard about the 'REWARDS') and focusing more on how marriage should be decided between the 2 parties being married (love and consent focus lol)....Though like other people said...She is probably curious about how they reproduce in this isekai world of theirs....I wonder if there must be some intense hold-handing ritual involved huh?
also welcome to marriages before WW2 lol. The idea you married for love is an extremely modern phenomena
No, it's not, unless you mean among the upper classes, but even then, it's wildly before WW2. I think this is a pretty good reddit thread that goes over it, but marriage for love happened quite a lot in the Middle Ages, even if it wasn't the only consideration.
[WARNING: LONG USELESS PARAGRAPHS INCOMING, scroll down for short version]
Hmm...It depends mostly on the people involved and their economic status....Sure you get a few wild out liners/exceptions (Poor people marrying out of love or rich people making due to love...sometimes a very rare rich + poor people eloping and running away together) but if you were a noble your parents probably wanted you to marry to another family to build future alliances and connections for their business and boosting status. The low-tier or middle rank nobles probably had easier chance to marry out of love compared to the high-ranking nobles like Dukes or royalty....don't need to sorry about power struggle or assassins...
The middle to upper middle class people who don't have to worry about food and shelter (People with decent jobs in medieval times or people from well off merchant family ) have much more opportunity to search for the so-called romance and marriage out of love. The poor people can still marry for love I guess despite their low-economic status [Though there is still a possible 20% divorce rate after all]. Like it is said....there are millions of people and dozens of different countries plus different era of time/culture in human history, you probably want a graph showing like is there a 10% to 40% noticeable increase in marriage out of love, was the arranged marriage couple happy later on or were just unhappily or perhaps meh-tier...Like it is said, many types of groups of people and situation depending on time-period, country, economic status (+Some outliers and exception will always appear.).
Even in our so-called modern days (Lol...Civil society...*Resist urge to laugh*) lot of people do not marry out of love sadly and sometimes people are still forced to marry other people due to their parents choices (Parents building money connections, trying to marry their kids into wealth, etc.)...sad reality but no matter how much we try to act like we are much better and superior than the humanity like 100-200 years ago I still see humanity pretty much the same as the humans back then [Thankfully we have better technology and better lifespan though which is indeed a plus!]. I think this is mostly just the viewpoint that comes from people who come from well off families or people that live in 1st world countries instead of 3rd world countries. Hmm...If we managed to get into outer space (Space colonies), solve world hunger, creating a perfect law system, every child has access to basic education/job chances, managed to stop having so many wars/conflicts killings thousands (At least give us a 30-40 year peace period before a minor war start again please...) then I guess Humanity has finally reach to almost close to perfection/ perfect civilization where everyone can easily marry just for love instead of other reasons beyond their control. I hope humanity reach that day, we have the potential to...perhaps maybe 600-700 years into the future but to me eh humanity as a whole has a lot of people that are chaotic, wild and crazy (Despite many good people)...thankfully I live in a 1st world country so I probably should not be complaining too much I guess.
(TL;DR- condense version)-
-Sorry for the random stupid long useless input comments/words from me about humanity and marriage/love, I was bored and felt like sharing my thoughts on how people marry out of love depending on the time-period/era from before 100-200 years ago to modern day now.
Short version/story, it depends on the people involved, some people marry out of love while other marry or force to seek marry due to duty or other factors. Second princess is fked up and annoying yes...But I can see her intention and where she is coming from (Stupid noblesse oblige, duties and stuff+ Spoiled from being a noble princess)...Though would it kill her to at least learn to seduce and learn more about her future spouse/Waifu/marriage partner at least despite the forceful marriage she is trying to push on the highschool girl.
