So it really is you two have a strong negative reaction to the term "NTR" specifically?
Kinda yes? It just signals to me that the rest of this series will run on porn logic with a porn-brained character, should I now assume that the rest of the series will be magically about something else? I'm not even necessarily opposed to have cheating in stories but this one went for this specific term, displaying it front and center, it surely means something.
Consider: it's a joke meant to signal the protagonist is the idiot lead of an ecchi comedy manga. Especially given the context that she just realized she was gay as a result of masturbating.
It's not tagged as NTR, and I give chapters 1-3 of most things a fair chance. . . . I just had a strong reaction to the NTR theming and have been discussing it.
Okay, but the cover page contains the quote "Even if your heart says no... I'll make your body unable to live without me!!" The NTR theming was there from the very beginning. What wasn't was the specific term 'NTR.' And frankly I think people need to get over their aversion to that one word, especially when that aversion caused 4+ pages of heated debate about a dumb ecchi comedy manga lol.
Fucking someone gay only works in hentai girl, luckily you're in an ecchi so there's a high chance.
Piggybacking off my first comment, I know people dislike NTR but why is everyone losing it so hard over a dumb soft core porn manga being dumb soft core porn?
She's not even together with the guy yet everyone in the comments is going completely insane. As I said in my last comment, "Which the comments turned into a more serious situation than the series it's self I think lol"
Which includes myself. I think the discussion got serious in varied regards, and so it's been going back and fourth for awhile now. We're at a point where the discussion is more about the discussion than the series. You're saying we're all insane, and so now I'm responding to that lol
Which also "She's not even together with the guy yet", there's also been a lot of back and fourth on that. Which the series still has NTR theming at the very least, if the author didn't want that in there they shouldn't have put it in there.
I just don't think the author expects anyone to take it seriously for the reasons I put in my original comment. The character uses the words NTR but we can see in the chapter what the situation actually is and how naive and silly she and her friend are. The whole thing just seems tongue in cheek, so the response has been something (especially after only a chapter).

I certainly understand that this was the intent, the problem is that I don't find that bit funny and I can't really imagine I will be very amused by the rest of it if this is the standard we're setting :P

Well I already more or less addressed this in an earlier response where I said in regards to the NTR, "Maybe my strong feelings there are having me read more into the story than I should, all I can say is my first impression was bad". Maybe it's a dumb NTR gag series or whatnot, but I just didn't enjoy my first impression of it.

I'm saying the tag helps you know what you're getting into before you even click on something. Also I still wanted to give the first chapter a fair chance. I could have stopped at the cover page but I again wanted to give it a fair read. You think people should have less of an aversion to the word NTR, and I don't agree. Also yeah there's a lot of back and fourth, but I'm not the only one responding here either lol

Feels like for this I can once again quote myself where I said in regards to the NTR, "Maybe my strong feelings there are having me read more into the story than I should, all I can say is my first impression was bad". I might dislike the series more strongly than I should, though I also don't think it's the end of the world.
So many people here want to basically keep saying I'm invalid for having a bad first impression, I should lighten up, laugh at the series, have fun. That's more of what I'm responding to than anything at this point. I have my view point and I think it's valid just as much people that enjoy the series are also valid.
Basically the author made an omelet and sprinkled some NTR on top, that's just not my thing.
Consider: it's a joke meant to signal the protagonist is the idiot lead of an ecchi comedy manga.

Then the manga is not for you. But I would suggest you should judge that based on the chapter as a whole, and not the usage of this one particular word.
(I thought it was funny lol.)

I couldn't care less if people don't like this manga. I just find it bizarre that so many people (not just you) didn't merely click away after not liking it but felt the need to post multiple times about how they're totally justified in not liking it because of how morally awful NTR is. That this manga didn't receive nearly the same reaction despite being objectively morally worse indicates to me this isn't about morality, it's about a learned disgust reaction people have developed to the specific term "NTR."
It is totally valid to dislike stories about cheating, or dubious consent, or any of the other factors we associate with the word "NTR." But I don't think it's totally valid to dislike a story merely for using the word "NTR" even though it doesn't contain any cheating and -- at least as of yet -- does not contain any dubcon either.

Ultimately I judged the chapter as a whole and not the single word, though the word does have a certain amount of gravity with the framing for me, and after reading it I determined it wasn't for me or my type of humor.

I think the implications of NTR are worse, especially when sexual conversion shares an overlap with NTR, and that's the impression I personally got here. Maybe it's not that serious or going that route, but it immediately gave me a yuck impression when I read it because NTR comes with a reputation.
Also I'm stating things for myself and what I think. I'm not stating I'm morally superior to anyone for disliking NTR. If people love this series more power to them. I kept reading the discussion because I was interested in what people had to say, I gave another response to further state my thoughts and the yuck feeling I had from my first impression. Followed by the next day reading more of the discussion and finding that it felt like I had to defend that I disliked the first chapter and got a bad first impression, and it's just been going from there with a lot more of that. Now I'm having to defend that I'm reading the discussion because you're telling me I should just click away lol
Then the manga is not for you.
Probably :P We'll find out for sure soon enough and I promise you will not have to read my further comments in that case.
But I would suggest you should judge that based on the chapter as a whole, and not the usage of this one particular word.
I think it at the very least allows me to make a good educated guess about what comes next, considering it's the literal conclusion of the whole first chapter.

I think this is very easily explainable actually, it looked relatively innocent for the good chunk of that chapter :P I don't see why people should stop themselves from leaving negative comments.

Again, quite easy to explain, everyone bothered about morality or whatever will just skip it based on tags.

Look, I don't mean to make you feel like you have to defend your preferences or anything and I'm sorry if I did. But there is a big difference between "I dislike sexual conversion" and "I got a yuck impression because NTR comes with a reputation." I agree there are some sexual conversion implications to this work, but those aren't because it uses the word 'NTR,' it's because of things like the aforementioned "Even if your heart says no... I'll make your body unable to live without me!!" But people aren't talking about that, people are talking about NTR because they've developed a disgust reaction to that one word.
I admit I am partially frustrated because I've seen over and over in different manga communities that whenever a work brings up NTR, regardless of context, legions of people post about how much they hate it and how awful it is and I've just grown tired of it lol. This is a stupid ecchi comedy manga that's very clearly going to be about the moron protagonist trying to seduce her childhood friend by copying hentai tropes and we've spent 4+ pages arguing over the fact that the word 'NTR' shows up on it. I just think it's a little disproportionate, you know?
I think it at the very least allows me to make a good educated guess about what comes next, considering it's the literal conclusion of the whole first chapter.
We can conclude what'll come next is the protagonist trying to seduce her childhood friend, since that's what she's saying she'll do. That's literally all that she means when she says 'NTR.' You can speculate about why the author chose to use that word (even though I think it's clearly just meant to be a dumb joke) but the actual meaning of what she's saying is "I'm going to seduce my friend into loving me."
I don't see why people should stop themselves from leaving negative comments.
You're of course free to, just as I'm free to think people's criticisms are bad :p
Edit: To put it another way, I feel like a lot of people aren't actually criticizing the manga itself, they're criticizing the concept of 'NTR' they have in their heads and projecting it onto the manga. I don't think that's valid criticism. Dislike the manga all you like, there's plenty to dislike about it (the boobs are ridiculously huge, the characters are dumb, the plot is absurd, etc), but dislike it for what it's actually doing!

You have your views + opinions and I have mine. It feels like a lot of this discussion is coming down to semantics and we're talking ourselves in circles because we're not going to agree. That's fine, I'm happy to agree to disagree and move on. I wish you well and a pleasant day/evening.

Fair enough. Same to you! I'm off to walk and finish Watanare volume 4 lol

The appeal of yuri to a lot of men is the sexless homosocial relationship between girls because homosocial relationship between men are more (for them) brutal, demanding, etc. so yuri is in fact attractive to them even if they are homophobic lol At least I dont think reading yuri makes you free from bias (dynasty its not the whole yuri fandom either) but I don’t careeee about that, thats not the point of my comment At All, this site always gets so serious I was just talking from my horniness, a woman cheating on her gf with another woman is hot to me, thats all but people have such visceral reactions to NTR (comments went from 45 to 87 in less than a day) that we will never see it

the best thing about NTR is definitely the Discourse
If only the manga was as amusing as this comment section.
That's not fair... it's only been one chapter.
Please let the guy be a jerk or an asshole or very boring. Anything but a good person. Yuri or otherwise, NTR stories are usually f##ked up and I'm not really in that headspace right now. I may drop this if he's a good boy but I'm hoping this will be played up for laughs or something instead of being some serious angst story

Indeed, indeed I really enjoy reading the discussion section, it always makes reading the manga series more engaging. ^_^
I've been needing something like this since kodama hasn't written anything recently.

This dropped a chapter 2 days ago.
Um, doesn’t the concept of “cheating” require that someone actually be in a relationship with another person?
Which no one in this chapter is, as of yet.

Yep, so far it's just a stupid high school lesbian making an over the top plan to get her girl.
I kinda like the dynamic between the two so far, but that might have more to do with the "public" setup.
I'm very interested to see where this goes, thanks for the translation!
I don't know why here of all places some people feel the need to trash what other people enjoy, it's fiction and fantasy and nothing about it is trying to trick you if you're worried about being triggered. What I appreciate the most about Manga is that the authors are free to explore themes that in the West would likely never see the light of day.

I don't foresee this ending well
"There's not a lot of pictures with girls, are there"
Calling it now, the student council president is also gay and Nene will confess to him and get shot down by him saying "sorry uh actually I have a boyfriend"
Edit: also in the one picture that did have girls it was two girls standing next to each other so I'd bet that was a yuri-yaoi double date

Or he has a girlfriend but does not want to anger his fanclub? Either way he is probably in some sort of relationship already.
