Lots of back and fourth happened around all of it, and so I went heck might as well see at least a bit of what happens after all of that. So far it's unfolded like a fairly typical ecchi series, so I wonder if the mangaka instantly dropped the notion of NTR or if the NTR is coming later lol

She is definitely one of the most head empty ecchi protags I've seen, so that's very possible

She literally can't be clearer on her intentions

Damn I check out the novel and this will be a wild ride. I hope I don't spoil too much but I think every yuri fan or people who dislike the title can read this with a peace of mind. It does get pretty spicy though

I just looked at the first 5 chapters, which only goes up to before their movie "date" and wow, "spicy" is right. It's certainly a story with words that have been written.

More than anything it's very... unsubtle, even compared to the manga. I don't know if it's bad writing, a bad translation, or my unfamiliarity with light novels that makes it off-putting to me. It's probably a combination of at least the latter two.

Slightly off-topic side note:
What's up with light novels having weird 1st person POV protagonists that narrate directly to the reader? It feels incredibly awkward, and takes me right out of what I'm reading. Like, "you're probably wondering how Character A could have been in Location B".

Yeah, I am, but I assumed that would be explained through the story rather than the perspective character speaking to me like I'm some kind of voyeur watching everything play out in person. It feels like an unreliable narrator crossed with a 17th century treatise on trade in the Mediterranean. (And now I want to read a story where Descartes gets isekai'd, lol)

Yeah idk who came up with the theory of "best friend was in on it all along" but aren't they just completely correct at this point? Playing off a small peck would've been one thing, but reciprocating the kiss and then saying it doesn't count because they're both girls - even going as far as to keep the freaking photo - is another entirely.
