As far as Isekais go, this one looks pretty fine so far. Nothing revolutionary but nothing atrocious.

Hoping for Yuri beyond just fanservice though, even if he's technically still a guy in a woman's body.

To be fair, pets are a normal mechanic in MMOs, and a support main would likely have a single strong pet for solo play. That said, the mechanic is definitely sketch in an isakai situation where they clearly are sapient now.

The MC is already cute in such a way they genuinely look like a high-level MMO account, something I really can't say about any of the other generic MMO isakai protagonists. Being a bit of a ditz just made them better.

Overall, this is pretty close to my ideal isakai story. You still have the power fantasy of a high-level character, without it being an overwhelming "they can do anything" that removes all tension. Pair that with the personality of an actual support main -- completely fed up with bullshit and practically sadistic to their teammates with a minor hint of a god complex from their own immortality -- and you have a winner.

Vellis says he "contract[s]" Aurora when he summons her so I assume it's not slavery but by game lore a summoner-summonee contract. But they sure are using it awfully similar to normal isekai slavery in this first chapter.

In all fairness to the PC, his "slave" was literally just a bot when he got her, it's not his fault she's now magically become a real person bound to the constraints of a bot.

Can we cool it on the slavery talk until we actually see slaves? The dragon girl being “contracted” implies mutual agreement + pets/familiars aren’t a new concept

Because “it’s just a game” they don’t view they world they’re in as real + MC described an “empty” feeling so maybe that’ll play into the MC not being so emotional to being suddenly transported into another world

Also not to reignite the slavery discussion but I really don't see this as the same thing, considering there's nothing here to suggest that the familiar contract involves actually forcing the other person to bow to your will over their own. Like the big reason the isekai slavery is always so dubious is because no amount of "I love being your slave" stops them from not having the choice to leave service. While there's currently nothing telling us that is the case for Aurora.

Yeah, it's another very common isekai trope that quite coincidentally means the author doesn't have to actually write any character with any level of emotional complexity or depth, but can instead freely indulge in their flat writing and edgelord-ery, which totally isn't the reason that is being done ;)

Didn't Vellis just explicitly say they're not going to throw their morality away? While their affect has been a little bit flat, all we've seen them do so far is help people and not ask for much in return.

The dragon girl's tail must be detachable. There's no other explanation for why we can see her ass when she's bathing.
