Personal notes:

• The Top 3 were not a surprise at all in anything but their order.
• I would have expected The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All much higher given how popular it is around here (beating basically all other series) ...
• ... in particular farther ahead of Happy Sugar Live. I'm surprised that one made the top 50 at all given its ... specificity. Yet it did get an anime adaption.
• Yuri is my Job! is the Scandium of Yuri to me: I'm faintly aware it exists, it's probably very important to somebody, but I wouldn't notice it's absence on a yuriodic table
• Only ones in the Top 50 I never heard of were Kamiina Botan and Insecure Herami Sisters (the final one).
• I'm curious how Lycoris Recoil would have placed here if anime originals were counted too.
• No Virgin's Empire?

I'm probably going to do some more analysis with this (wasn't there something I'm supposed to do with the mangaupdates.com API..?), especially once the Dynasty Version is released. For example adaptions to and from other media (LNs, Anime, etc.)

That list is interesting. The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All is popular but I think its reception gets a bit overstated, especially compared to the reception of other series elsewhere. It's placement isn't a surprise to me.

On the other hand, Yuri is my Job! has always seemed well-liked and highly rated. It's a very good series (same with Boys Gilding the Lily Shall Die!, another one that should be talked about more here and is super high on that list).

I am slightly surprised but happy "Whisper Me a Love Song" got first--also makes that terrible adaptation even worse. Citrus+ and How Do We Relationship tying up so high is also solid--those Citrus+ delays haven't factored much. Finally, The Blue Star on that Day being self-published and that high is such a cool thing.

I think the reason why Yuri is My Job! may seem surprising is the fact that it's not hosted on this site. I also forget it exists, because it's not updated here and I thought the anime adaptation was very mediocre and dropped it on episode 2 when I tried it. But I don't doubt it's popular elsewhere.

I'm happy to see that some of the series I really enjoy got very high rankings. I hope that means they will continue to sell well and manage to get a proper conclusion, as the author has planned. Thank you for the effort you put into this Zesc, looking forward to seeing you again for Dynasty rankings.

Shame that there's a recency bias, but I understand why. I kind of hoped some older titles could get some recognition and new readers, but newer/ongoing is usually more popular.

Maybe it's an odd question, but when happen the first yuri navi classement ?

I’m happy that I Want to Fall in Love Until You Die is doing so well. I went to a military school during a pitched war and that manga captures the incredibly specific trauma of having graduates a year or two ahead die. (Marching Puppy has a closer aesthetic but is so fluffy it doesn’t count.) This is so specific that I worry it will get cancelled before a satisfying ending, but it’s clear a lot of people love it and it’s a big deal in Japan.

I’m also surprised and happy that KitaKawa placed 11!

Of course, Bloom Into You is part of the top three, it’s an OG yuri for many readers. ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ

Same, I tried watching the anime and I didn’t really like it lol. I forget why but I also dropped it after 2 episodes
