I have tried to find a specific trope (?) or idk the term but basically where the story surrounds the MCs, one is a conventionally unattractive girl (many would consider ugly) like how many characters would say “EWWWW SHES UGLY WHOD DATE HER?” She’s chubby, round face, and has curly hair i believe and the other MC is pretty, popular, and falls in love with the ugly MC. I’ve read it before, idk the name IT’S BEEN YEARS

The curly hair and bullying makes me think of Mizuno and Chayama but aside from that it's not quite what you're describing.
This sounds vaguely familiar but I can't remember from where.
Was it a serie? A One-shot? Safe for work? Do you remember the characters Hair colors? I presume it was a Manga rather than a manhua or a western comic?

"A Bouquet for an Ugly Girl," also known in Japanese as "Busu ni Hanataba wo," came to mind. but, I doubt that's what you're looking for, as Busu ni Hanataba wo isn't a yuri. :)

Would it be OK to ask for help with finding a manga I read on here a long time ago or should I just make a new thread for it?

It was about a gloomy dark haired girl. The other girl had light hair and had poor eye sight. Might have been blind. I believe it was snowing for most of the story. The one with poor eye sight inquires about the other girl's height and to try and figure out where her lips would be on her face for when she tries to kiss her.

I think it ends with the dark haired girl finally getting along with her sister. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I will understand if mods go ahead and delete this.

Try taking a look at the Yuri Works General Election to get a good overview. It has a nice spread from the tooth rotting sweet to dark and gritty, from innocent to smutty, from grounded to fantastical, from contemplative to blunt and from pristine to taboo.

Besides that, if you're just "window shopping" to see what you like, browse the images to find some dynamics, aesthetics, pairings or series that interest you

There's plenty I could recommend, but as Zesc says, they are pretty much all listed over in the Yuri Work Election thread right now. Without knowing anything about your preferences, here's a couple general suggestions:

Keep an eye on the tags. If you find stories that really appeal to you, tags are one of the best ways to find similar stories (e.g., adult life, school life, &c). With advanced search, you can look tor combinations of tags, too.

<--- You can create multiple lists and choose which ones are shared, so some of us keep public lists (link under the avatar) intended for sharing stories we like.

i know I've read several stories involving girls and cakes or sweets (since it's seen as cute, moe-focused works will use semi-often uses it), but I'd need to remember if I had some involving a chef specifically.

My pastry mentor is this 68 years old french chef who is going to retire soon and he keeps telling me about how surprised he is to see the shift in demographics interested in pastries as a profession! Before, especially in France, it was seen as a manly job and it was practically only ever men who got in professionally but slowly it started to shift and now there are lots of places where there are more female pastry chefs and cooks than there are males one. And he's also a bit surprised to see there are a small but not unnoticeable amount of queers (like me) joining the profession.

^^Oh, I'm french myself (though not a chef) so I've definitely seen the change in perception . Back in the early 2000s, the public perception was still such that if someone heard "professional chef" they'd think of a guy by default. Even if they weren't against women being chefs, It just was still not the expected.
