It wasn't an exciting chapter, but it felt more substantial than another round of "Yuzu and Mei have no actual chemistry".

After Yuzu and Mei, the two main characters are Harumin and Matsuri. We have been talking about everything about Harumin's future since vol 4 and in vol5 it was already confirmed that she had chosen his future. it We know how readers? No, because instead of continuing with Harumin's arc in vol 6, she disappears from the scene and introduces us to the whole topic of Arata and his academy. Will close the harumin arc in This volume? Who knows, I think it wouldn't be so serious if Harumin didn't go to university or if she didn't go to the same university as Yuzu. Funny enough, Yuzu has never asked Harumin about his plans Of the future. And as far as matsuri is concerned, she is a character who appears less and less every day. The future will say

Well, Granny has an interesting character design, so that’s kind of new.

I’m guessing Mei’s “That doesn’t have anything to do with you” statement isn’t supposed to come off as quite so much as “That’s none of your business/don’t worry your pretty little empty head about it” as it might appear at first glance. But it’s certainly yet another instance of Mei fending off Yuzu and keeping her at arm’s length.

Can someone please explain Yuzu’s popsicle analogy to me? Beyond “Sometimes there’s nothing you can do,” I guess.

I’m trying to find a way to not think of this as the stupidest and most boring chapter yet.

I didn't dislike the chapter, but the popsicle analogy was indeed stupid.

Monkey's paw curls. The next 5 chapters are now about this grandma's secret nightlife where she attends events such as lesbian orgies

citrus is being counted as a whole because the other series on the list also include spinoffs and LN versions to give them a little push to their numbers. Plus citrus is what in comic book industry is called an "evergreen title", a series that is never out of print because it consistently sells no matter how long it has been since its release. If you've seen pics of the yuri section of Japanese manga stores you'll notice that aside from the series they are currently pushing, citrus volumes (regular and plus) are always in the background.

citrus plus was also the first yuri series (to my knowledge at least) to have a world wide simultaneous release.

Seeing here the Brazilian flag (my country being represented, what a surprise!) in this illustration by Saburouta about the global premiere of the TV anime, I shouldn't argue why "Citrus" is still the most popular yuri title in recent times. It's already successful, now all that's left is to conclude this spin-off. The publication cannot stop at the side of the road like this.

I understand your concerns about the author's current state and the delay in releasing new chapters, but let's trust the sources so you don't lose your mind.

It was for the rebroadcast but also Citrus+ released simultaneously worldwide, which is/was a big deal.

That still sounds way more interesting than this mess.

OMFG who TF cares about arata and his school, why are we spending so much time in this. Why whould you put something as important as harumin future in the same arc as this nothing sandwich.

Same. He's alright but I don't care for him more than what could have been in his place.

Even if (in an extreme hypothetical case) we did care about Arata, the stakes of Yuzu’s angst aren’t even clear—so she doesn’t know if she should tell him about the potential merger of the two schools, which Mei thinks he already knows about but Yuzu knows he doesn’t (I think).

And . . . so what? What are the stakes for anybody of Yuzu telling him or not?

(Meanwhile, Yuzu’s bizarre talking-popsicle analogy doesn’t help one little bit.)
