Still going strong
Let me tell you, the story of those two reminds me of a personal experience of mine. The experience of casually, not throuh deliberaty gossiping, learning of two stranger's private life; of finding their situation to be cute; of also casually learning years later than they are still together; and of feeling a small pang of joy in it (you know, the whole Bhudist concept of Mudita, or "taking joy in other's happines", thing.
Around two decades ago, a New Year morning, walking on my way home (and yes, that was right next door from my city's quite famous LGTB district. ), I saw two girls of which I couldn't help to notice that all their clothing, attitude, smiles and body language (let alone handholding) screamed "this could be a romantic comedy movie's 'happy ending - she confessed on New Year and got a yes' scene". Of which, at the time I only tought "yep, that's cute", and thougt nothing more of it - beside the aforementioned "this looks like a movie - must be the New Year effect" thing. Yet I've been casually catching glimpses of those two girls (now, considerably older, too) basically every other New Year for two decades, always together, always smiling, always handolding. Movie, sequels, whole franchise :-) Of course each time I see them I can't help to think for a second "good for them!" Why not? Even if I don't even know them.
I'm not interested in Husky and Medley's private life.I'm not even curious about them. I don't keep tabs, I won't try to read their tweets (or whatever the fuck you call them now), I'm not invested in THEM even if I've just suggested this classic comic for featured chapters. But finding that they are still together, decades later, like the two movie-like girls of so many new years above... yep. Mudita moment, right here.
