After ogling the ch 30 raw, im now 60 % (maybe 70%) convinced that himari is going to developed feeling for shiho at some point, i know this sounds dumb and doesn´t fit the narrative so far but hear me out

• shiho and himari got insanely close way to fast, almost as fast as yori and himari,
• yori bottling her feelings instead talking with himari is such a NTR cliche
• the insane lengths himari goes to paint shiho in a more sympathetic way despite her being so unlikable doesn´t feel like a coincidence
• at ch 30 himari´s tries to kiss yori but she rejects her advances leaving her really dejected this is quite literally the plot of a lot of NTR hentais this is just a theory but im willing to bet that shiho is going to swoop in and confort hima after that

i hope im just reading too much into this but there´s some flags that seem to point in that direction. Again i hope im wrong but a small part of me wants himari falling in love with shiho i´d be such a spicy development and honestly the only way i can see the manga picking up the pace

It's already bad as it is with the whole band battle going on because someone is too stubborn to talk about her feelings and the reason she have is so obvious that it is painful to read.So i don't want to have the MC pair who where finally together and had barely any moment since then, to face a shitty drama because of two grown ass teenagers can talk to each other.

Exactly!! rigth now we're at the point of so bad that is boring, but if the author goes berserk with the cheesy drama maybe we can reach the so bad that is good point
I'd rather read a horrible but fun manga than a mediocre and boring one

I do feel bad for Yori honestly, she's indeed the víctim of this nonsense , she was pretty much dragged into this mess (by Himari nontheless) . But i don't have the same simpathy for himari, she willingly got herself (and Yori) into this mess and keeps making reckless desitions without talking yori's feeling into account

Yep this story has lost me lol. I hate Himari now, she is so ignorant it is infuriating and Shiho is still the single most unlikeable and unsympathetic character on this site. And the series has just gotten so boring now, I can’t stay. Im still gonna keep reading, but the series ended for me about 10 chapters ago. Now it’s just a shitty fanfic that I want to watch crash and burn

I think the worst part about this whole decadent arc is the fact that the damn battle is still not fucking happening!!! it's been what? a year since it was proposed ?just get over it already ffs.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say that I still like this series. This arc is kinda meh and I'd prefer more himari-yori time but it's fine I guess.

I concur. Hima may be reckless, Yori may be passive and Shiho may be unlikable but they're not the worst in any of their respective categories of character flaws.

I am incredibly skeptical. My Japanese is pretty limited, but from what I can make out from the raws without looking anything up, it looks to me more like she's saying she wants their first kiss to be more special and then while they're feeling awkward and frustrated afterwards it she invites her to go to a festival fireworks show. It's pretty obvious she's thinking "So um, this might be a very appropriate place for us to have our first kiss..." I honestly can't see Himari being upset enough after the way that shook out for Shiho to have any reason to swoop in.

Also, Himari is innocent and forthright to a fault, I cannot imagine a universe in which she cheats on anybody, and going NTR would be absurdly out of theme for a series like this. At most I could see Shiho trying to steal Himari to hurt Yori the way she feels Yori hurt her by taking Aki's affections, but such attacks would just glance harmlessly off Himari's sincerity.

I swear, some people on this site are DEEPLY paranoid when it comes to NTR. You're reading too much hentai manga, it's interfering with your ability to understand plots that aren't based on porn fetishes.

You mean you don't understand why a drama stirring up for so long because one of the person is too stubborn and too prideful to talk and dragging up the main pair who absolutely ask nothing is receving negatively ? I too wonder yes.

After Hima's love epiphany, I expected the story to delve into some serious Yori-Hima dating fluff rather than this apparently interminable battle-of-the-bands stuff, with Hima off temping for the other side (it kind of reminds of when Jim Hawkins apparently runs off from his friends to join the pirates in Treasure Island--but I digress).

So I'm still interested, but my interest level has dropped a good bit from the well-above-average starting chapters.

Well to be fair to Shiho it's probably not easy to find a way to say "I was in love with you and I'm jealous because you fell in love with this Yori chick oh and by the way hi Yori Aki's totally smitten with you hope that doesn't fuck up your friendship but HEY YOU ALL ASKED SO HERE YA GOOOOO"

Hima and Yori being cute for most of the chapter was just the fluff I needed.

But that's assuming Shiho would agree to the change, since she's the one that suggested it to begin with. And like you said Hime isn't one to cow to pressure, so she may dig in on this, since it's something that she's determined to do. And as we've seen in chapter 29 (most recent) even though she was thrown into this role, she is going to give it 110% to help her senpais achieve their goals (even if that might hurt Yori's group in the end).

More backstory time with the other group now. Though Momo x Haji is cute.

put me in the "still enjoying it though the pace is a bit slow" camp.

i just hope it doesn't turn out like kase-san with yori constantly getting jealous and creepy over minor misunderstandings.
