Despite the (personally speaking) scary tags, this is really nice and sweet. It gets the Hoden seal of approval.

It's not subtle, but it definitely works for me. Edgy teens from dysfunctional households being edgy and finding solace in each other. Kinda wholesome. Here's hoping there's still more to come, despite the "FIN" at the end (which was not in the other chapters).

Oh my gosh I love these two. It's honestly really relatable with not knowing how to deal with someone who likes you back. I hope we get more chapters of these two!

I really like this, despite the unhealthy signs in their relationship. The mistakes they are making are very believable, especially at their age. It's pretty typical for somebody who drops the word "Love" first to start throwing it around more and more often to try to fish for a reaction. It's equally understandable for the other person to act cold to this (especially only via text), if they have low self-esteem.

Though honestly both of them have pretty serious self-esteem issues, maybe that's what makes their relationship somewhat workable despite how dysfunctional they can be.

In something like this you have to have some perspective on the question of "wholesome" or "healthy". By some standards there are no doubt wholesomer, healthier relationships . . . but their relationship is certainly by far the most wholesome, healthy thing in either of their lives. It's clearly making a big net improvement rather than creating a train wreck. So it's wholesome in my book.

There's one more story in this series already out. I expect it to continue in the future as well, but the author is self-publishing this so it's not like there's a scheduled serialization or plan.
