Can anyone who knows Japanese tell me what Kotetsu mean? Couldn’t figure out why she named the omurice like that.
My Japanese isn't amazing so I might be missing some pop culture reference to a character named Kotetsu or it's a reference somehow to the famous swordsmith, but I think it's just a cute, random name.
Kotetsu is a fairly normal Japanese name like naming it Kevin or something in English. If the original uses the usual characters (古鉄 - old iron, scrap iron), it could also be a nod to the food being burnt - as in it's "rusty" or just "scraps".
