I absolutely love big tits but I cant stand these balloon boobs. They don't serve any purpose if they look more like they're hard sacks of air rather than actual boobs.

Anyway this manga is pretty good but if feels like it's trying to speedrun the character beats of evangelion and hasnt really earnt the emotional weight that it's going for. Also the balloon boob hentai coloured opening pages with the dramatic quotes really make it hard to take it as seriously as the author wants me to.

The relationship between Youko and Yorino is cute but it was very rushed and didnt feel earnt. Maybe it's just that I'm used to yuri romance moving at a slower pace. I think Kitamura is great and I hope she gets at least part of what she wants. Honestly though i thought this was her Kaijuu because of its haircut. I'm very glad it wasnt but if she dies later, I wouldnt be surprised at all, only very disappointed.

I mean, I have nothing against either of those things, and I am not against the combo, but in this case, I can't help but wonder, why combine them? How does the sex reinforce the themes of (super)heroic sacrifice and alienation from baseline humanity? How do their superpowers feed into the Bastioneers' sexual lives and preferences? The author doesn't care about those things, he just swings wildly between dumping world-building on one page and drawing bouncing boobs for the rest of the chapter. I mean, for crap's sake, this is the first chapter where we get to see the "other side" of the great wall (of whatever that barrier is called), but instead of treating it like a huge chapter-spanning reveal, he dedicated a good half of it to the leads bonking each other silly.
