I really don't see them as "sisters" in the slightest. Especially given various story details, that I won't go into given that they might count as spoilers to some if they didn't play a recent event on the Global Server, but I will at least say that it involves Exusiai's actual sister. Also I think Exusiai and Mostima make for an interesting but complicated ship, one that I very much like for several reasons.

@Sup Look up Bofuri, it's on netflix if you can watch it there. It's very good, the only show I watched other than Eizouken last season.

edit: There's some yuri undertones if you squint but it's not a romantic show, just a comedy. A great take/parody on the "VR video game isekai" genre.

I don't agree. I don't see them as romantic but as a big sister caring for her baby sister that loves her a lot. There's zero romantic tension between them and they feel like just friends that haven't seen each other in a ling time.

@Epsilon04 it's also cute how Texas tells her to cover her in battle and how much they both want to be closer to one another.

Why do people keep drawing Penny with doll-like joints?! We've already seen in Volumes 1-3 that Atlesian technology can give her human-like artificial skin.

Mostima and Applepie gave me "weird platonic long-distance thing" kind of vibes during Code of Brawl.

Exu also notes Texas keeps even her kind of at an arm's length, though the two of them get along and work together well. (Tex likely drags around all kinds of emotional baggage that makes her so aloof but that's another topic entirely.)

...basically you don't find relationships that aren't all kinds of complicated around the Penguins, aside from the very straightforward CroissantxMoney OTP :P

I think I mostly agree with Random, a weird platonic long-distance kind of thing, that could also result in them having sex at times when Mostima shows back up in town because again complicated relationships. I just don't in any way see Mostima as sisterly in the slightest and likely never will, so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree Mike, and that's perfectly fine. We both have our perspectives and they're both equally valid.

i would say more like she's an android, since in the OG she was artificially built from scratch and designed to look human (we can't see her wrists and fingers joints, she actually looks like she has real skin), and her father (the one who built her) gave her part of his aura (a "game" mechanic of the series) when he built her, although she otherwise can create her own aura, which implies she also has a soul (only people who have a soul can generate aura). So maybe, a human in an android? i have to admit i don't know much on this point tho, maybe the soul she has is a part of her father's? not sure, so don't quote me on this
