I would say not in any particular way does Ema redeem herself, no. Even though she's more or less the endgame for Anna, she never avails herself of being anything other than a weepy weak and useless older woman. Then again, I only saw the raws and I can't read Japanese well at all so I'm just going by what little I could decipher and of course the visual aspect of the story. It ends at chapter 20, btw.

I see a somehow general interest for Miku, and MikuxAna, am I the only one rooting for Ana and the cousin, was it her cousin? you know, the useless, weak, crying older woman she lives with? I don't think she's an excellent character but it is maybe by force of habit that I root for those two instead of Ana and her hum "friend"

I don't think Ema and Ana are unhealthy and I'd like them to be together. I think Ana brings out the better aspects of Ema and vice versa.

But I also have a thing for agegap so my judgment is clouded.
