Morinaga Milk is amazing. They can write an amazing series like girlfriends about first yuri school girl love and then also a story about two grown, relatively mature women. The mangaka satisfies my needs in a wholhearted way :D

Well, Occam's razor would dictate that they're in Japan, and in the absence of any clear indications otherwise, it's safe to assume that they're somewhere in the Tokyo region (which is huge; there's technically no such thing as "Tokyo City").

Also, two of the ads mention specific neighborhoods, which are both in western wards of Tokyo City (Suginami and Setagaya). If you assume the app tracks the user's location and prioritizes ads that are nearby, then they're probably somewhere in the Western part of the former Tokyo City area. This is fairly centrally located, only a few miles away from the major administrative and financial districts.

Tokyo Metropolis includes suburbs going all the way west to Yamanashi, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Area includes the better part of 7 prefectures.

Damn imperial units. For a moment I got really confused thinking you were living in a huge ass apartment four times the size of my family's.That would be cheap for <180k yen.

My house is only 1,000 sq ft, with property taxes is 887. We're guessing location and she got a reduced price for doing all the renovating from the previous owners damage. Plus she got a discount for knowing her friend.
