I read somwhere in the anime they're male and turn into ladies when transformed. In the manga they were always female aliens cross dressing as males on earth though.

Guess Seiya just fell in love with Usagi somehow when Usagi had some love troubles with Mamoru at that time(i hope i remember correctly?)

Mamoru left Japan to study abroad and got killed by Galaxia. Usagi didn't know this and feared he'd dumped her without saying anything.

First season OP of Chuuni anime is top class. Not just some song with random animations, but a nice piece of art itself. I do not say that standard opening is bad(i do not even care to be honest), but this one is supreme.

I think the confusion is partly in the westernization - if you read up on the sailormoon wiki etc it clearly says they are all female- the pretending to be men is just part of their disguise.

They DO live together for 5 years already, they are just oblivious to the sex(I guess?)... Kasumi just eat a lot, work and sleep, so she does not care, and Sakurako is too busy with making tons of food for Kasumi!

^I disagree about MHA not being that bad. The animation is good, yeah, and the characters are diverse, but the series seriously disappointed me. I had hopes it would have creative battles since it has a smart protagonist, but it always ends with him using brute force and fucking his body.

I think World Trigger is a much better shonen, and it actually makes good use of strategies and smart protagonists. It also does a much better job at giving focus to the female characters (while in MHA they do and appear less every arc). Shame Jump barely advertises it and the anime was made by One Piece Toei (as opposed to PreCure and GeGeGe no Kitarou Toei). But I think the anime is still worth watching.

On the other hand, I dropped MHA. The current arc is seriously boring (and I hate all villains in the series besides Gentle and La Brava) and Bakugou's development also disappointed me.

One thing MHA and World Trigger have in common is both authors are constantly sicks, but WT's author takes breaks while MHA's author continues working. I wish Horikoshi would go on hiatus too until he's feeling well.

^I think you completely missed what's good about MHA and kinda looked for the wrong things in it.

It is not as confusing as some people make it here. The manga has the Three Lights as females with female bodies, both in civilian and in Senshi forms. They basically crossdress when posing as normal people. The 90's anime then took this and changed it so they have actual male bodies in civilian form, and Takeuchi was not a fan of this editorial decision.

As to why they did this, well, we can only speculate, but consider this: it was the 90's, and a prominent feature of that entire season was Seiya romancing Usagi (before anyone brings up Haruka and Michiru, their romance was something of a background thing, only expressed in rare innuendos and rose petals flying across the screen). Seiya's pursuit of Usagi, and the latter nearly reciprocating on numerous occasions, was front-and-centre. It also happens that most of the romancing scenes take place when Seiya is in her civilian form. You also have to take into account that this was a mainstream anime, massively popular back then, and not really advertised as yuri.
