^^The later parts of the manga heavily imply that Ranma does like being a girl.

Alright, I don't want to alarm anyone, but THEY'RE WEARING MATCHING RINGS! On the ring finger of the right hand.. I'm dead
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/virgins_empire_ch295#5
At first, I thought only the nurse has it, but after looking through their chapters, I found this only(?) frame where you can see it on the coach's hand as well.

Interesting, but a few pages earlier Coach gives gives her right hand to Nurse and she isn't wearing a ring: https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/virgins_empire_ch295#3 . The ring-like thing on her hand on page 5 might just be an awkwardly drawn joint.

lol, people are getting paranoid over the green fluffy yuri romcom? Sometimes not reading the comments is a winning move.

There's no romance as such, but it's pretty obvious Marcille and Falin have feelings for each other.

This was silly yet awesome. I wish there was more of it!

The next three chapters are about her dream.

Do they say that was a summer festival in that chapter? There are other festivals that are during the Japanese school year, including a couple in spring, to say nothing of possible local events. Festival activities are kind of the same for a lot of festivals, so unless they specifically called it out as a summer festival, I think there's wiggle room there. Very good chance there's other contradictions, though.

At least the translation doesn't explicitly call it a summer festival, but I doubt people wear yukata for festivals in early spring.

There's another good one with HonoEli. Honoka went to Eli's home for the first time on Christmas. Soon after there's a chapter where they're celebrating Halloween together at her home.

Yeah, I've suspected for awhile that the timeline for all these relationships is jumbled up. I think all the holiday events are taking place concurrently, we just see them way out of order.

That would make a lot of sense. It's pretty much the only logical way of doing a very long running manga in a school setting, unless you go the comedy route and none of it really matters a la yuru yuri.

Mind you, the timelines still doesn't make sense. For instance, Honoka first meets Ed and Ian when Eli invites her to their home for Christmas. The next time they meet is during the summer festival. As I said above, the school year ends in March. The previous chapter confirms Eli won't stay in Japan long after the school year ends, since it's set a month before her leaving and Kaoru still hasn't graduated.

As far as I can tell, the time rules of this manga are something like this:
1. Chapters can take place whenever in the school year. Despite this, each storyline advances linearly. For instance, Chie and Ai are not dating in any chapter that appeared before ch. 105 and are dating in all chapters that appear afterwards, unless the chapter is clearly marked as a flashback.
2. To avoid really blatant paradoxes, no character is allowed to celebrate the same holiday or other event twice.
3. Entrance exams and running out of time with their romances because of graduation are not usually a concern to any of the third years. EliHono is the only couple on a deadline, at least for now.

My exactly same thought. After all those 5+ christmasts and valentine's days, too.

My favorite example of this is how one of the early Mio/Shizuka chapters is set on Valentine's Day and they clearly aren't a couple yet. The Japanese school year ends in March. The entirety of the Mio-Shizuka-Kaoru-Mask drama must have thus logically taken place over the course of a month.

Though in Kishi's defense, I don't think he's ever had the same characters celebrating the same holiday more than once.

HarukaxKanae, onthe other hand... They are shown has having interacted before, in a way that should have sticked with Kanae, How is it that she didn't remember Haruka as "oh, is it that girl from the vending machine ? We even ended up in the same class ?"

Note that this isn't the actual entrance exam, but a practice test held in eight grade. Haruka and Kanae weren't necessarily in the same class during their first year of high school, so there may have been two years between this and their next interaction. Seems like a long enough time to forget the face of a person you talked with casually for a few minutes.

Wait so if Nononon ans Yumimi kissed and there was no spark, that makes it a real kiss right?
RIGHT!?!?
(ง ื▿ ื)ว

I think the implication is that Nononon chickened out at the last moment and pulled back right before their lips would have touched.

First, because it's a brutal change for Mask who had established a little while ago that she was happy being friends with cute nicknames and everything.

Nah, Mask knows very, very well that Kaoru is attracted to her. She knows doing that cutesy stuff will encourage her, which is why she does it.

Second, because it doesn't make sense. If she felt a strong attraction to Kaoru the moment she saw her it just doesn't make sense the way she responded to her advances.

Mask is blushing like crazy when Kaoru first starts hitting on her. She turns Kaoru down because despite being attracted to her, she doesn't want a relationship at that time, and probably knows about her being a player. She starts acting colder when Kaoru refuses to take "no" for an answer.

Hibiki crushes on a boy as recently as chapter 222, and Midori's dialogue implies this is a regular occurrence.

As for her views on her partners, the implication seems to be that Hibiki doesn't have the best taste in boys or girls.

There's that but it's not like we have any indication that she disliked said dating with boys

Hibiki in fact went from dating boys to going out with Kaoru with no angst and then went right back to boys after things didn't work out with her. She seems like a pretty clear bisexual. Same goes for Mariri, who's dated at least one boy but had no trouble initiating things with Mayuyu.

Without directly mentioning the Bandai statement, the recent event tried to fix some of it. They had Mio call Suletta her partner in a romantic context and drew attention to the girls' rings both in pictures and words. The elegant phrase "Suletta and Miorine were wearing rings on their ring fingers" made an appearance. Apparently Bandai isn't trying to deny their relationship or their marriage, but is unwilling to use the M word, probably because it's a hot topic in Japanese politics right now.

This isn't to defend Bandai or soften the laudable sentiment presented in the above image, but you don't have to fear any retcons or future works going full galpal.

The best part is Miorine did it for nothing. Prospera does care about Suletta and never intended to involve her in her revenge plan beyond this point. Truly amazing levels of hard woman making hard decisions.
