at this point i'm not sure having any opinion won't get you barked at. it's funny that when i make a post suggesting that their play could be healthier people act like they're on fox news complaining about how getting consent ruins flirting.

i'm not expecting this manga to go to a bad place, but just like majere, certain things will detract from my experience. i'm not even saying it should change. i don't expect every comic to have 2 chapters of the characters getting explicit consent. small things, like checking in with the other person before doing something new, go a long way towards getting me into something.

Well, sure that's gross for most people with a bit of decency here. But I don't think that it is that bad to warrant a ban of the practice. I think it is better to let those guys vent their desire somewhere that is the least damaging instead of confining them, which can lead to an outburst and eventual crime itself. Japan pretty much glides on that fine line for a decade or two but there are not that many criminal cases in Japan, let alone child rape cases. Japan is still safer than the West. I guess there are more aspects at play and not just about their indifference toward lolicon hentai issue, but that does disprove the problem regarding these materials being stimulating to pedophiles.

Meanwhile, outside of Japan... I'd say meh, there are people preaching about morality but their society still violate those rules regardless.

I personally don't have much of a feeling or preference for soft D/s except that, like anything else, when it's done well it's great. Teasing (the pleasurable kind) is a form of comedy, and this mangaka's comic timing is wonderful--Dynasty sometimes loads slow for me, and lots of times I'm almost frantic to see what the punchline or next development is going to be from one page to the next, because I generally just can't guess.

As I've been saying, I think a certain amount of at least subliminal fear that something bad is going to happen is built into the premise and style of this series--when Hino said, "I was making this for you," and started to pull something out of her bag, I was half-expecting it to be a dog collar or other bondage gear (even though the tiny bit we saw obviously wasn't like that at all).

So to an extent, we're being played by the mangaka the way Koguma gets played by Hino. Usually the joke is on Koguma, sometimes it's on us (like with the photo album), and every once in a while it's on Hino (like with the umbrella).

While it would be lying to say that I've never though that an artists' talent was wasted on a specific fetish, I find the assumption that the artist is doing this for money kind of naive and disrespectful to the artist and their personal tastes. As someone who used spend time in the furry fandom, I can show you a thing or two about what happens when an artist trades in their dignity for the "privilege" of drawing anything for money. Trust me, it's not pretty.

I know someone like that. This girl started drawing furry things because she could make more than 1 thousand week with it, but after some months she preffered stop it and lose all the future money she could had won that still drawing that because mostly of the drawings were just so so so messed up xD she couldn't continue. Meh, I went through their Pixiv and the closest thing I could find to "loli sex" was two separate comic strips of Sakurako and Himawari from Yuru Yuri, where both comics fade out and return to them nude (with their genitals covered, either by sheets, frames, or body positions) implying they had sex during the interval.

The only other thing that stands out to me is an illustration of a frontal nude of Sanya and Eira from Strike Witches sitting lateral to each other, with a gap between them, where their body proportions appear quite juvenile. Their breasts and nipples are exposed, however their vulvas are concealed. The illustration doesn't seem very sexualized in any other way, other than a blush and expression on Eira's face that could be interpreted as arousal.

Other than that, the artist seems to have a preference towards small/flat breasts and has drawn some feminine looking men (noteably Hideyoshi from Baka to Test) topless. It seems to me that the person who brought up issue with their pixiv is more concerned with the body type then the emotional/moral content. I'm guessing they just threw in the 'non-con' bit as a last minute strawman insult because they found it more damning than 'consensual loli porn'. Or else they're implying that no porn involving lolis can be consensual, thus the comic strips involving Himawari and Sakurako are 'non-con' by default, but in the comic strips mentioned, both characters appear to take active roles, and anyone familiar with the characters should be able to imagine the emotinal states concerned with such a scenario.

Edit: As it turns out, both of those "comic strips" of Himawari and Sakurako have been translated and uploaded here on Dynasty already.

It was originally brought up in reference to Hino's comments on Koguma's body type, (which as a sidenote goes to back up my earlier point about the commenter's issue lying with body types rather than anything else). Well, even if it is, I don't think the 'Lolicon Tag' thread is the appropriate place for it either. Perhaps starting a thread for 'Kinniku Tarou' would be more appropriate instead? I could just be wrong though, I don't know. I guess you'd probably know better than I would.
