Hino-san may not believe in the literal truth fortune-telling, judging by how she bullshit Koguma about palm-reading. If she believed in superstition, it would be less likely that she'd make things up. She hasn't confronted Koguma or pushed a skeptical viewpoint on her, but she seems to take superstition lightly. It ain't guaranteed is what I'm saying.

Also, none of y'all remarked on how Koguma instantly thought of Hino when the horoscope discussed "the person you cherish."

I’m sure there must be some term in sociology or psychology for the kind of relatively shallow “belief” that most people have in astrology, which is probably not unlike most “belief” in common superstitions. Certainly there are committed believers, but even if everyone knows their own sign, few people actually run their lives by their daily horoscope.

I thought the same thing. I think the bonus images are a little off. With the umbrella scene we can see that yeah, Hino's definitely way taller, but not so tall that she can't have Koguma's soft little head leaning properly on her shoulder.
