I think she's a stunt actor. Some dude plays Red for the "civilian clothes" scenes and she does the action scenes. That's relatively common in that industry. The main actors often don't have the skills to do the stunts themselves, and we see that's actually her job.

That's why she says that a man can play "Pink". But the reverse, a woman doing the stunts, is rarer.

She will also most likely be a Power Ranger, since the US reuses the original Japanese action scenes and dubs the bad guys. Only the civilian clothes scenes are new/US content.

Now that's a good introduction to Toku with yuri as a media

It's common for suit actors to play characters of the opposite sex, although that usually happens when male actors play female monsters (or male actors playing female rangers, as mentioned here). I can't think of any case where a male ranger was played by a female stunt actor (but I'm far from an all knowing expert on suit actors), but it wouldn't be completely outside the realm of possibility, and goes well with the cool tomboy lesbian archetype.

Loved this, by the way. Minamoto Hisanari and tokusatsu are two great things that go great together.
