Aside from literally none of it making any sense whatsoever, that was rapey and terrible. The protagonist was the villain yet she gets rewarded by the narrative and it's an ending that makes people cheer? Fucking disgusting, feel like I need a shower now.
A few months ago I nearly died from complications with a bowel surgery. Recovering was hellish, and it took two months before I could leave the hospital (I'm young, otherwise I'd be dead). There were very few things that kept my mind off of the agony, lack of sleep and hallucinations I experienced, and one of those things was Fluttering Feelings. It is my favorite yuri comic, and I love everything about it. The (incredibly sympathetic and loveable) characters will stay with me forever, regardless of what happens.
I know how horrible severe illness can be. I hope and pray that everything goes smoothly and the best it possibly can for you.
Your work means a lot to me, and to thousands of other people. Thank you. I wish you all the best.
I agree with you on many of your points, like the love triangle, Korra's character being overly arrogant and selfish at first, and just the general fact that Book 1 was not very well done.
However, you clearly were not paying attention in Book 2. Korra had no part in starting any war. Her family was involved and she got emotional, and her uncle was manipulating her. If anyone started the war, it was Unalaq (Varrick helped it along). Korra's struggle in Book 2 was far more sympathetic. I suggest you watch it again without your bias.
Books 3 and 4 were amazing, though. It's a shame Bryke didn't make the entire show as good as the last two seasons.
