A blast from the past, this was rather nice. "Girl Friends" was one of the first, perhaps even the first yuri mango I read. Though, I am somewhat disappointed this was not set after the events of the series proper.

I love everyone on here going "aaah girlfriends, my first Yuri! My first awakening!" as it was totally the same for me, was just about to write a comment along those lines

Seeing these two again was so nice and nostalgic, I remember how much I enjoyed GF when I first read it. It's nice to see them both being adorable as always

Though my favourite page was still easily the Morinaga page at the end. I know how it feels reading back old stuff I've done, SO CRINGY! But girlfriends will always have a special place in my heart

Morinaga-sensei is back! I hope she make another new series! She's been in the cave for a long time, that I thought she was retired, or even died. But no! She made another new Girlfriend Bonus. (which is a doujin because it is a self-published)

Yessssss. The fact that this was published as recently as December 2017 makes me even happier.

As usual Morinaga-sensei is a total mess, but that's what makes her so funny.

After all these years, I got to read more of Mari and Akko! I didn't knew It was possible, I'm so happy! Girlfriends was my first yuri manga...
We need more of Morinaga Milk in our lifes.

This dosn’t seem like such a blast from the past to me because I tend to re-read the whole story every six weeks or so. . .

Agreed that glimpses of their college life would be good, but high school sexytimes? Also good.

Many people say now: "Oh, I remember this wonderful series that got me into yuri!". But 10 years ago when it was ongoing, people screamed: "MORINAGA!" after every chapter release, because of drama and cliffhangers. Of course, it were largely overreactions, since people wanted more of that manga quicker. Girl Friends being one of "Big Three of Yuri" helped hype it up too.(Other two were Aoi Hana and Sasameki Koto).
