They already did, in a way... I think they just simplified it by showing Mikage being creepy in a normal way, if that makes sense.

I didn't know that it's supposed to be a fckn werewolf appeared in that library chapt scene.
the LA is suck, since the skipped the werewolf thing.

Serious question, and maybe I'm being a total killjoy here, but is anyone else bothered when a visual medium doesn't clearly establish the boundary between comedy and reality? What I mean is, so far we haven't really been given any reason to believe this story takes place anywhere but common reality. And in reality, humans can't actually look like that. So, what was Hinata seeing right then? I know it's comedy and I'm not supposed to read this much into it, but I get seriously worked up when I can't tell what's supposed to be real and what's just visual hyperbole.

@Parnifia I interpret anything that doesn't look realistic as an exaggeration of what is actually happening or what the characters seems to be experiencing/feeling.

For that particular moment, I wonder what was Mikage doing. The most straight-forward thing I have in mind is that she was going for kiss directly but in such an ominous/aggressive manner that it made Hinata feel threatened and scared.

That's right, Hinata not only saw Mikage's face she also felt her aura ... Just like a killing intent in shonen manga
