Damn I thought the jealous chick would be a dog girl. I really didn't expect the two of them to be cats though, and I mean REAL, ACTUAL cats. I really fear for their caretaker's future; one can hope she will find a girlfriend before she becomes a crazy cat lady who thinks she has a harem of adopted lesbian girls.

If you've ever had a cat that wasn't fixed, that would explain a lot of it given that most of this is from the cat's perspective. Cats in heat treat everything as sexual, crazy little things that they are.

Cats overreact to baths more often than not, see just about any cat gif or video of them flying about bathrooms the second they hit the water. Unless they've been trained to be calm about it, or are a breed that loves being wet in general, trying to bathe one is something that ends up being quite an ordeal. Can't say I really saw anything sexual about that part of the story.

I don't think Haruka perceives them as human; if you notice, any time she speaks to them, it can easily be parsed as they're meowing at her and she doesn't actually hold a conversation. She also refers to them as cats at the end, and Eli even brings up that "No matter what I say, Haruka won't get it..."

Remember, until the last page, this is from Eli's point of view. So SHE thinks she's people, but Haruka doesn't.
