I must have read too many human-but-actually-a-cat manga because I was pretty certain they were cats by the third page lol. What tipped me off the most was Nana's outfit funnily enough.

I didn't know M. Night Shyamalan also draw yuri.

Well I had a feeling that they were actual animals with the way they acted and talked. And at first I thought that one girl was a dog but at the same time not because of the way she acted jealous towards her owner. Dogs would be more energetic and have a happy-go-lucky attitude. But no she distanced herself like a cat would so yeah I had my suspicions.
Still a pretty good story. No twists in my opinion.
