the reasoning behind why the dating site clearly aint got a 'sharing pictures' function is prolly bc japan aint that progressive, like at all, and for the user's own safety someone can't just see their profile n find them and tell their family & their coworkers that they're gay. then again, it's prolly just for the sake of the plot, but japan sucks and apparently has a big neo-nazi movement and a large % advocating for imperialism

anyways this comment is largely an opportunity to rant on the unnerving romanticization of imperialistic nazi ideology in anime n shit, i mean, how many times have you seen references to the 'rising sun' flag? and why does nobody ever talk about the fact that nazi germany, italy under rule of Mussolini, and WW2 japan are portrayed as a appealing male cast in hetalia? nevermind the fact that 90% of anime sexualizes children and teenage girls
