The hand holding.
Now Mimika can enjoy some indirect fingering with Yuzumori by her front door before she washes her hand!

OH MY GOD LOL

Question: Do the people calling this "creepy" go into other lolicon and/or age gap series', especially the NSFW ones, and post the same thing?

(I ask this knowing that most of those rather explicit manga don't have dozens of creeped out remarks in them)

I can't for sure say yes, but I do recall some having seen those comments, tho the one I specifically have in mind is because the girl was basically sexually abused by her tutor and then, ofc, grew to like it. *rolls eyes*\ The comments were justified for that one specific example I remember. The rest, I don't remember.

But I get what you mean, it's kinda a waste of time and space to read something you aren't comfortable with just to comment something repetitive and unsubstantial about how you aren't comfortable with the series/tag, times 15 people
As if I went to read a couple of incest tagged stuff just to comment and complain about how creepy the incest is on every single one

Except of course this is the sort of thing that the author had been doing before, and undoubtedly a lot of people here have read it. So this is quite the departure, whereas I doubt anyone's surprised when SOFTCHARM does yet another thing with underfed children having ridiculous sex.

I'd also hazard a guess that people aren't necessarily seriously creeped by this in the Umareru sense, but are saying it in a more detached way, as part of a discussion about the story thus far. We tend to be a group that actually puts more than a couple of seconds thought into what we read, and we like to discuss the things we take from even silly stories. That it's a humour series based on the premise of a girl creeping on a much, much younger girl and freaking out wildly about it is really kind of the point here. Her being creepy is the basis for the humour, so what's wrong with people pointing out that the situation is, indeed, creepy?

There's no problem with it in a vacuum, but all I'm seeing is "It's creepy because lolicon/age gap", but very few, if any other series' posted with that stuff, hentai or not, hardly get a fraction of PAGES worth of "It's creepy because lolicon/age gap".

So I'm seeing a disparity here and not understanding why.

It's not hard to understand. Not everyone reads everything on the site. Not everyone comments on everything on the site. There's a discussion of the matter here, so people join in. There might not be on another series. Simple as that, really.

Same here .-. Don't get why people are creeped out, it's probably the cutest loli story along with Hoshikawa Ginza District 4.

Can't wait to see how it goes.

Its hard for me to take for granted the unexplained factor of why this series would get so many more views--and comments--than other, similar age gap (or, by now, lolicon) works. Also, my original question has yet to be answered by anyone. However, don't want to flood this forum with that, since I'm getting a rather dismissive vibe from you, so I won't bother. c:

This series is cute and I want more.

In many lolicons NSFW stories, the loli tag is mainly due to the childish design of one or more characters; and here, it is a real child who is turning on MC.
Also, I think people who are complaining here don't usually read NSFW loli stuff [well, I don't either tbh].

That said, I don't consider this creepy at all.

http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/my_mother_is_a_witch is creepy, for example.

^ Just to point out a few things regarding your points - firstly, I'm sure some lolicon series have such posts - but a) some predate the forum update and thus will have zero or very few posts of any kind - and b) All those other series have lolicon tags - and people who find that mostly objectionable would avoid them. This series didn't have a lolicon tag - though I see it has been added in the last few hours - so all the posters before this could have read it without realising it's nature.

And not all the posts are just pointless 'it's creepy' and I just wanted to post that - some say it's creepy but I can't stop reading it - or it's a bit creepy but I like it still etc. A lot of people are also joking about it being super pervy with the hand holding thing just in case you missed that running joke.

Myself I don't see her as creepy at all :) I don't think the gags will be about her being creepy but being totally hung up on her and the girl causing her kiniptions in various unintended ways.

They might even go down the route where Yuzumori is aware of mimika's feelings and is playing with her because she likes it. Not sure if it will get to anything serious even like kissing - personaly hope it does by the end!

Oh, I didn't realised I read that
This page basically sums up one of the preview chapters
Idk what the author usually does but it seems to be similar dynamics; one girl overly flustered, unsure, hesitating on what to do, and one with the upper hand (in a way) and whether she's conscious of it or not, deliberate or not, has all sorts of effect on the first girl.
I suppose it's just that an age gap was thrown in, but even considering that, the character are have similar power dynamics.
Oh, rereading the last chapter, Maki seems as deprived/thirsty as Mimika perhaps
Nico is drawn like such a child, I feel like it's a lolicon age gap thing >_>

I think the story is cute. I also think the story is creepy. (Yes, you can do that, it's called having mixed feelings.)

That said, the story isn't creepy enough dissuade me from reading it... for now. There's a lot of potential creepiness that may or may not be realized depending on how the narrative plays out, and I'm interested in seeing where the author takes it.

There are lots of lolicon stories on Dynasty that I don't bother commenting on because I know from their outset that they're not for me. This one's different because I like it now, but I'm wary of whether or not I'll still like it by the time it's over.

For me the problem is mostly her mental age. With Hoshikawa Ginza District 4, the kid (forgot her name) didn't *act like a kid. She was really mature for her age and she was the one making all the advances toward the adult. The adult was doing her best to be a responsible adult (resisting, setting up boundaries, etc) that made me feel more comfortable with their relationship.

This one is like the opposite. Even though it's a smaller age gap, it feels a little off since you see Mimika being the one lusting (I exaggerate) after Yuzumori, who doesn't seem to have an idea of what's going on.

Other more "problematic" series are pretty hardcore so you get fewer readers and commenters in the first place. People reading them know what theyre going into and understand that the lolicon porn isn't something to take seriously.

But wait! This story is also not meant to be taken seriously! It's just a gag manga! Yeah that might be true, but people generally discuss non hentai manga more since theyre actually reading it for the story instead of for the sex.

Anyway stuff are meant to be discussed and no one here is doing it in a rude way. Most of us started reading it not really knowing what we were getting into since all we were given before were cute short teasers. Now that there's a clearer picture people will leave if it's not their thing and there will be less "ew this is creepy" comments.

Of course there will probably be people (like me) who will continue to read it anyway since we like to read every single yuri series released whether or not it's trash. (Trash in general...I'm not calling this series trash specifically). Even then the ew pedo comments will stop anyway since I think most of us made our point clear and it'd get boring talking about the same thing over and over again.

A lot of lolicon and age gap manga have the repeated debate other consent and statuary rape in an ethical and more standpoint. It happens quite often.

To add on and partially repeat what has been said, the gap itself isn't what people find offensive it's the approach. In the other story mentioned the character was first of all older, second more mature which lampshaded the gap in a lot of ways. Further more MC here seems to have a fixation on the younger girls age in a way that most find unsettling, making it seem like she's explicitly attracted to the young girl for her immaturity rather than simply accepting that she is afterward. Her seeming fixation also in forces the idea that's she's completely disregaurding ethical boundary that many characters who moreso do later into a story and usually less eagerly.
Imagine if the MC was a male and the story takes a far more uncomfortable tone.

It's not to say it's a bad story, it's too early to decide anything yet it's just setting off a tone which some people aren't comfortable with.

I almost expected her to schlick here with the memories of the hand holding. Maybe too much NSFW yuri around to not think about it. But she didn't cross the line. Yet.

Solution : don't keep reading if you don't like such age gap/lolis. It was obvious since the teasers that Yuzumori was an elementary schooler, because of the backpack she already had there : it's a model only elementary schooler uses. Mimika was a bit less clear, but her being a high schooler was stated on first chapter and the teasers already showed what kind of manga this was to be (Mimika over-reacting at Yuzumori's innocent (?) teasing). I don't get why those people who are offended by it keep reading it, really.

Also, wonder how those people would react to gochuumon ha usagi desu ka... There a similar age-gap in there (Chino being an elementary schooler and Cocoa a high schooler) and never seen as much hating on it a this manga seems to get, even though Cocoa is just as gay for Chino and takes any chance she can to hug her.

TL;DR : I understand some people might not enjoy that manga, but I don't understand why keep reading it if that aggravate you so much.
