Maybe it's cause I just woke up, but I laughed too hard.

I was kind of more interested in and rooting for the friend she hangs out with, who is probably an ex-gf.

On the last page, I read "Why don't you get off me for now" as "Why don't you get me off for now" and was extremely disappointed to find out that it was not the case. It really looked like it was heading in that direction!

Age gap, student/teacher, all good stuff....
But the best was the moe-gap when the serious teach got all flustered and blushed ^_^

I just wanna say the art in the flashbacks was real nice, the speech bubbles looked painful. Mikazuki kind threw me though, her mutant fish-yes are huge even by manga standards, I mean that's some 90s anime shit!

Wayyyy back when I was in school, we had a student-teacher scandal, and while our teacher wasn't fired for it, she was off for a heck of a long time. It never looks good no matter where you are, I think, even if it is legal.

I do like the idea of student-teacher, but I just wish mangas went into more angst/guilt/detail with it, instead of the standard. There's so much that could be gone into with it!

Does anybody else think that this one's very interesting in art choices? It really isn't the most pleasing but it manages to bring a certain feeling across in its details and - for lack of a better word - shot composition.

You really FEEL the girl's desperation in the tight grip she has on teacher-san. Same goes for that determined look she shoots her in home room. And the wordless portrail of teacher-san's memories and that metaphorical dagger also give this manga a sort of artsy vibe.
Then it almost went into porn territory with its amount of body fluids, but hey.

Also a minor detail I enjoyed was teacher-san's torn stocking on page 23. Just pointing it out.

I only read it as "you're going through a phase" in the context of Mikoto (the student) having a crush on Kaoru-sensei. While it's true that the previous romantically-interested student (whose name escapes me) eventually moved on and got married in a het relationship, I'd say it's pretty crucial to understanding the work to start from the angle that Mikoto's serious in saying that her romantic interest in women won't change, even if Kaoru-sensei regards the affection Mikoto shows her as inextricable from their current roles and the power dynamic between them. If that weren't true, I don't think she'd rebuke the previous love interest's claims that she'll feel differently in the future so This is what makes the story that's been translated so far so interesting to me; it's entirely possible that there will be a context in which the two of them could enter a relationship together, even though I think it's fair to say it would be grossly irresponsible for them to be engaging in a relationship while Mikoto is a student.

Like the manga seems to be saying "sure, it's entirely possible that your sexual preferences will change over time (and for people looking for a specific life trajectory it may be easier to mold them to suit) but that's not true for everyone and it's certainly not true that it's better that they do". Which is a pretty significant and thoughtful idea that I rarely see in works like these!

Idk, I kind of agree with the first person. I was TOTALLY under the impression that the teacher was dating the blonde or at least having sex with her. The blonde was incredibly flirtatious with her, not to mention handsy, with how she kinda just stroked her fingers on her chest, and seemed to be even going on actual dates (I think they were at a restaurant at one point and the chapter literally started with what looked like the end of a kiss). I really thought that the teacher only said they weren't dating so that the student would think she was not interested in women or to convince her not to spread any scandalous rumors.
And even if it was just a fuckbuddy. The first person's concerns still apply. There's no indications that they stop doing it together so we don't really know if she's still sleeping with her or not.
In other words, the biggest fucking flaw in this oneshot was that we GOT LITERALLY NO CONTEXT AS TO WHO THE BLONDE EVEN FUCKING WAS. And thanks to that this series' ending COMPLETELY changes in tone lol.
Otherwise, this is actually some of my favorite art I've ever seen in manga and if this mangaka could make some more yuri, I'd be fucking ecstatic.

Mostly very enjoyable. As HKX said, the "kiss scene" was a bit of a mood whiplash with the ecchi sound effects and saliva. Still, cute on the whole, and what a beauty Sensei is. Thanks Yuri Project.
