Was there a reason that she had to be reincarnated as a middle-schooler? She's worried about orientation but the age gap is the one that's going to raise a lot more red flags in their relationship. I was expecting we'd get to know the new character :(

Of course the theme of the story is "useless guy is trying not to be useless anymore", but even though it makes sense in that context I still appreciate that she's got doubts, gives those some considerations, then decides to figure things out. A lot of romance stories would be less frustrating to read if they had protagonists with even that little bit of drive.

I think it was to flip the power dynamic right? In the past timeline Riri was her subordinate so he had a form of power over her inherently. Here with her being older/the adult in the scenario none of that carries over. It also flips the dynamic to one where she's the more mature of the two and let's Ooma be more impulsive and emotional.

Well at least they finally talked about the elephant in the room, The fact that Ooma is indeed a middle schooler.

That blush on Riri's face alone was enough to prove whether she likes her or not though.

You know, maybe part of the ambiguity is Riri being cognizant of the age gap. She's trying to deliberately slow things down because she doesn't want to do something illegal. If you don't want to bake a cake, don't preheat the oven, and all that. Maybe once Ooma is legal she'll suddenly put her foot on the gas.

Yea, Ooma, Riri still loves the biggest doofus in her life.

Also, the scanlator's final page is gold. If you don't still love them when they it turns out they are a worm wearing dead human skin, then you have never loved them in the first place. Normality and Monsters trauma sits deep...

I take that "if I was..." part as they've all been swapping around, being born at different ages. Riri seems to be the only one cognizant of all their pasts, where the other 2 (maybe 3 but we've not seen her story yet) seem to only remember the Demon Lord life.

But yeah seems this one will be taking its time unless time skip. There is still the issue of Riri seemingly remembering all the previous lives and that it all ends in tragedy.
