It's not a bad theory, but that doesn't quite explain why Ema laments, "This sucks..." at the end of the fourth page/Page 96. If Ema was really the guy in disguise, she'd be content with the knowledge that her plan is proceeding as intended.

Welp, that sure was a final chapter.

The start was good -- that look when you suddenly realize that you've fantabulously fucked things up is priceless.

But then the story goes into fast forward and crams three chapters worth of soul-searching, counseling and especially denouement into one, like it was getting axed tomorrow. I am happy for the MCs, but the setup to payoff ratio is seriously skewed in this one...

Ema almost broke the fourth wall, she basically said out loud that this seems like it's resolving too neatly :P Maybe I'm being too picky but this was too frontloaded with misery for me to be entirely happy about this lmao

At least the haircut people will be happy, seems like Ema's back to growing it out

Felt ever so slightly rushed, but still a satisfactory ending. I really like that she's growing her hair out again, and doesn't worry about trying to be masc in order to attempt to shoehorn herself into ayame's past reach for "normalcy"

The hair has been saved, people can't be mad at this ending.
