Sae got what she deserved.

Ooh. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also, the author using reasonable bullet counts for the two guns is great attention to detail that I wasn't expecting.

In regards to the preorder for Volume 2, the doc mentions something about a Kinokuniya exclusive cover, but it seemed like that only applied to Volume 1. Is there anything like similar for Volume 2?

Ena did nothing wrong. That said, it is super cool that a cupid's envy can turn into a curse when pushed to the extreme. That seems like a very Japanese way of handling it.

Madoka:
When curses overflow -> Love

Love Bullet:
When envy overlows -> Curses

Obviously this is a job of sorts for the cupids, so a disconnect will be inevitable in some degree, but Sae being so uncaring of the actual humans she's pairing up that she let someone die just so she didn't have to put her in her calculations.... crazy. I wonder how the story will weigh the moralities of the characters. Does Sae deserve hell?

you know, fallen angels go to hell, and Sae lost her wings, so it does seem like the story is heading in that direction

People keep talking about how Ena's bullets and the envy they caused resulted in Sae's fall, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Rather, I think feelings of hate and overall negative mindset are what caused her fall. I also think it's telling that the flashback we saw before she fell had nothing to do with love or envy. It was entirely focused on her feelings of hatred towards her victims and the way she blamed them for her failings when they finally fought back. Getting shot full of envy couldn't have helped things, but I'd be willing to wager that if Ena had skipped the guns and jumped to a bare-knuckle beatdown, the endresult would have been the same, because Sae had all of the same negative traits and thoughts before Ena even died and what finally set her off was losing control of someone she was abusing.

100% agree. It wasn't the envy that caused Sae to fall, or whatever is going on with her, it was the hate and callousness; she never needed help to have an excess of those.

I'm glad for the crumbs of lore that answer questions I've had.
Green eyes? Apparently happens to all cupids hit by cupid ammo, but since things are black and white we couldn't tell.
Are mentor relationships normal? Yes, apparently, though on a first come basis, which has the potential for ugliness.
Are fallen cupids a thing? Yes, and it seems very not good, given one fall resulted in a timelooping curse far outside the normal cupid powerset.

The only new question this leaves me with is what happens to Sae when Ena and the squad solve the puzzle. I do not see her having an epiphany over it and getting better. I see her flipping the hell out one last time, then being dragged off to hell or cupid jail or something.

Edit: Also, this chapter seemed to indicate that Ena's heart glasses were picked out for her by Sae as one more petty mockery. It says something about Ena's character that somehow through all of this she decided she would be the serious, competent cupid who nevertheless wears those silly things and owns them despite that origin.

holy shit that was dark. The root of the loop is a very deep grudge

Is it a deep grudge, though? It looks like Sae is just taking her revenge on Ena for looking like the girl that killed her. Even assuming she wasn't falling prey to a victim of harassment biting back and the glasses girl that cut her throat was a wild yandere or something, this was all just a shitty person hurting someone for the crime of reminding them of someone else. That's petty as hell, no matter how deeply Sae feels it.

It's interesting how Sae's backstory is actually only the third we've received so far, if I recall correctly. We obviously get Koharu's, of course, and then we get Ena's, which intentionally has a lot of parallels to Koharu's but in a more straightforward tragic sense, her being a person who didn't have much love in her life compared to Koharu missing her chance for love due to her not noticing.
Sae's glimpse of her backstory seems to break the pattern once more; it seems as though she was killed due to what I read as a bullying victim snapping and cutting her throat in the bathroom, which is triggered some sort of PTSD when Ena starts viciously fighting her.

Cupids are born from people who never experienced love in life. Sae strikes me as someone incapable of love, or who used it to manipulate people. If the Goddess is making conscious decisions about who gets made into a Cupid, then it's an interesting choice and raises ideas of perhaps trying to teach Sae to be a good person. But it could also be an automatic thing. Both are interesting ideas.

Obviously this is a job of sorts for the cupids, so a disconnect will be inevitable in some degree, but Sae being so uncaring of the actual humans she's pairing up that she let someone die just so she didn't have to put her in her calculations.... crazy. Based on what little we know right now, I would lean "yes" to that answer, whatever "hell" is in Love Bullet. At the very least it shows she hasn't learned if that's what she was reborn as a cupid for, and quite likely never will, especially now.

...

God I love this manga!

...

Also had a thought... it could be even more sinister than Sae simply letting Hasumi die... Cupids can affect the environment, it might be that she caused the landslide intentionally, specifically to get rid of Hasumi...

Every now and then I think to myself, we probably wouldn’t even have the latest chapters or volumes if the Yuri community wasn’t so strong and didn’t come together and buy a volume of love bullet.

Fervent hatred at the very least. However Sae justifies her feelings, or if she even bothers justifying anything at all, the intensity and effects of her rage are very real.

Sold in Finland's largest fantasy-gaming-manga-themed store chain too. This isn't probably very much in actual numbers (or money to author/publisher) but every copy is gone from every city location at the moment based on website. I got my copy from adlibris since I didn't know it would be locally available.

Wow , now that's a cliffhanger. Inee made a great chapter, now I can't wait for the rest of the story.

My guess is that Sae , like some one already suggested, might have deliberately killed Harumi/Ena as a cupid to get her in the cupid ranks, we'll have to wait to see why she did it. But the mere act may have had nefarious consequences on her, as we can see here:

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/love_bullet_ch14#36

She's curled in pain, her skin is blackened and her wings are "mauled". Meanwhile in this chapter she's fine as we can see:

https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/love_bullet_ch15#31

Maybe the goodness just straight punished her and cursed her to repeat in loop the events.

Well I was partially right.

Yet the "transformation" was unsettling, maybe "overloading" a cupid with the magic bullets fills them with such envy that they might totally lose control ( the redding of the skin, the eye widening ) and unleash nefarious powers.
Which may have a "price" to pay losing the cupid status and became....well.... wathever Sae is now.

Anyway, this manga deserve to be animated by some big studio, hopefully if it continues, in the next 1 or 2 years we will see it becoming a reality.

This chapter was fire, worth the wait, Inee cooked.
