Good read, I enjoyed it a lot. I wonder if this story was written before or after Hibike Euphonium? Since I remember the writing in the first volume wasn't as good as this.
If her dad actually died the police would come after her ass tho. Her method is very easy to trace after not to mention the suspicious "If my dad died would we become strangers" right before the dad died lol

I mean it's exactly what I would expect from Takeda Ayano honestly, she clearly has the proclivity for this kind of stories.

Personality-wise, I really hate people like MC. So I think the author did great writing her because I could really visualise how much I wanted to punch her throughout. At least she finally did something interesting in the end.

The ending though. It felt a bit rushed and even more telling instead of showing with the whole "why yes, it's the daffodils, I didn't forget" schtick. Like the author didn't trust readers not to lose that bit of foreshadowing over five short chapters. Tho maybe it's a translation thing.

Either way, decent enough.

Well, that was something.
But i agree with someone above me, the author did not put enough trust for the reader to figure it out by themself and instead overtelling by the end of it.
And, why does it have to include, i'd say pointless, love triangle is beyond me. I almost took it that the mc had mother-issue(abandonment issue) and mistook it for love, since she said she never experienced it. But, that will not fly, because of the whole spiel about bedroom thingy. I guess Sumire serve purpose for the whole "we can not choose who we fell in love with" theme
Argh, i am overanalyzing it.

I enjoyed that. The ending kind of makes sense for her character, being so focused on her own comfort that what others feel doesn't bother her. It's abrupt but this is a short story in an anthology, not a novel. If you want something with a similar vibe that is novel length I'd definitely recommend "How About Some Afternoon Tea?".

I don't even know if it was a turn... I think she laid it on thick reminding us about the daffodil poisons, but it was definitely setup from the start. Chekov's gun and all that, if the author is telling us about the daffodils's poisons and then the kimchi fried rice using chives.... The daffodils are definitely going into the kimchi.

You could really feel her descend into madness though, completely oblivious to Sumire's despair...
