This teacher is my new favourite now I hope she doesn't crash and burn too soon

This is not at all how I expected this arc to go, but I've really enjoyed it. I agree with @C6H12O6; Katou-sensei is my favorite character now too, as an extremely flawed but nonetheless redeemable person, who just barely managed to avoid crossing the line in an irrevocable way. I found it very interesting how her relationship with Nakaoka, which began as a way for her to feel better about herself by wielding power over him, ended up encouraging her to genuinely start the road to self-improvement. I wonder if this'll be how the arc ends -- I think it's a fine ending if it is, though there are still obviously some loose ends to tie up.

I wasn't expecting this to go this well. I'm not even mad at that the redemption(?). I feel it was carried out well.
I genuinely thought Katou-sensei would end up being an irredeemable scumbag and criminal, but the plot progression and character development was really grounded.

Lmao my bad, I thought that guy she was sleeping with the entire time was the student in the near future, so she's not a pedo, thanks god, it was such an uncomfortable reading experience thinking she was

That went more boring than I thought (or wanted) Its not bad at all! but how things went with the students I thought thing would get a little more heated. I had a image of sensei but she is just depressed, and you know, even if I feel disappointed by the development I really love how her emotions and inner thoughts were displayed/explained, and the final lesson. Very cliche, but it was made in such a non-dramatic very plain way which give it a very “real” feeling, very easy for the reader to project (I would have preferred something more messy though, not with the student, just herself but it’s ok!)
I love the teacher and her self reflection about the student, her boyfriend and then about herself. I don’t think he is scumbag (it’s implied sensei has some kinks lol i hope to see it in the future, when he see she is not in “sexplay” mode he stops) he is the same as her, people that feel bad about themselves and don’t move, just stop their time in constant need for self gratification, she was like him, but the student opened her eyes, the female student also helped it as her warning made sensei go see him with her usual “hidden” intentions just to be meet with someone who was serious about his love and passion contrary to her who was just floating in air.

There is enough yuri that will satisfy your needs. Kiss and White Lily for my Dearest for example. It's only yuri couples everywhere.

alright actually really happy with how this went, sensei sure was acting like Kizaki was just being overbearing (and she was because she's doing it for weird reasons) but it did get her to think about the situation a little and that combined with Nakaoka's very reasonable attitude in which he expressly doesn't want a relationship despite his feelings clears sensei's head enough to realize what her actual problem was.

Her shitty boyfriend, and being starved for real affection. It's rekindled her passion for arts and while she definitely already crossed the line legally speaking, she managed to stop herself and do better. Which is honestly the best outcome here.

Also very nice to see Kaede and Nami keeping a very tight lid on their relationship, (read Nami flirting with Shimizu to get a reaction out of Kaede and Kaede a little too obviously interjecting lmao) it really does feel like Shimizu sensei is at least a little onto their deal especially when she starts talking about just wanting to have someone to support her passions after wistfully looking at the two of them bicker.

Same here! I was thinking to myself that we haven't had any yuri moments or seen the couple together in a while, and then we suddenly get a "flirting right in front of your partner" moment. Luckily, she handled it well by staying playful toward the end.

Yeah they were cute this chapter and very playful. Katou was definitely feeling like a third wheel. She did pause when she saw them playfully arguing at the table, so there's a chance she does know. She had an envious look.

you're right I had confused her name because it hasn't come up in several chapters turns out she's actually called Katou.

Yeah, I don’t think she knows. Her face and reaction is very common, and something I think everyone has felt. When you feel bad and meet friends to feel better. A lot of times I still feel bad but being with them and seeing them happy calms me a lot, make me feel better, not that I improve my uneasiness but I feel more composed and calm about it all. I think that is how she felt

Man this arc has been really good... I thought it was just going to be a toxic age gap affair but it's surprised me with its depth and how it's avoided going for just luridness. It's interesting how Katou-sensei hasn't even done anything with Nakaoka other than tease him. It'd be nice if they're able to have an actually healthy friendship. Then who knows, maybe they'll end up together after he graduates?

Finally a good ending on one of these, and we got to see the OG lesbians in the end! hope that drama from the first arc never goes anywhere cause those 2 are so funny.

When I started reading this last year when maybe 4 or 5 chapters were out I would never have expected this to go where it did. In the end I really like this direction though, depicting the complicated and messy side of love in such a unique style.
